I am a firm believer that everyone should try to become the very best they can possibly be at something in life. Be it drawing, folding napkins, rubix cube, guitar, whatever. Anything. Regardless of how it effects your professional life, which is something that we will default to spending a large portion of our time and effort towards. Getting extremely proficient at ONE thing can and will trickle over to many areas in life. It builds confidence in your ability to learn. This kid is lightyears ahead of any internet haters. Bravo, young man. You've going to go wherever you choose to in the future.

I love it when kids totally get music. Even that "I'm Yours" meme kid from decades ago. It's awesome to see and be inspired by. I used to teach, and one of my kid students was way more technical than I. I split his course between "by the book" one day, and what he wanted to learn on the second day. He wasn't a shredder like this, but he could go in and out of a scale to suit a mood in such a way that it blew my mind as his teacher.

As I lament the passing of Jeff Beck. I feel he comes to me as I watch his technique and he truly wants me to absorb his meaning. It's not just me Jeff is still a dominant force in guitar and influences every fret worker. I see it everywhere and this child is no exception with that grin I say Hello Jeff!
