If I died, I'd want my loved ones to make as much money as they possibly can from my likeness. It would be worse if she kept it all to herself knowing that she wasn't a very big part of his life until a couple years before his death. The guy passed away and I am sure people out there love him more than she did so let them have a chance to own the items. You should take a step back and look at the big picture. A lot of people are making money from him post mortem, and I disagree with your idea that we would treat this differently for any other artist.
