I actually thought this was an old song from the 50s 60s until yesterday (12/04/2024). Then, I knew it was a release from 2022. Wow..

I have been hearing this song as background music for reels on Facebook. I heard it again the other day and decided I needed to investigate. I heard the entire song for the first time yesterday. The first thing I thought when hearing it with the reels was the Everly Brothers. It has that tight harmony and he sounds like Don. Bless his heart. I'm absolutely obsessed with this song. I watched an interview and he said he used to listen to his grandfather's old records. I'm so thankful that a young person still likes real music. I also heard a song he did live and he hit notes like Roy Orbison. Well, he listened to Roy Orbison. I could go on and on. I'm a very young "older person" and this makes me feel like I did when I was young. I hope he has a wonderful career and doesn't change.

This song made me realize that I'm more in love with the thought of being in love than actually being in love with someone.

I lost my wife a few months ago. This song reminds me of her. I loved her so much and I miss her every day.

What I love most of this video is the scene where they sing together and he is being honest/real/sincere about what he is saying and she is just reading it like a script, implying she was just being paid to be there. Powerfull. Basically in lamens terms, he has love for her but she does not see it.
