The Mimic - Jealousy Chapter 2 Release

Theory: Chihiro (the girl in the purple kimono) was an orphan who would see people with their parents everyday. She was jealous of them because she never had any parents in her own life. Chihiro would spend her days imagining herself a mom who would take her to temples. One day, seeing two girls who she thought were friends or siblings playing tag, she thought it was the final straw. Chihiro meets Enzukai’s accomplice, praying to her for a companion. She was a mother figure to her, but seeing others with companions that were people, and she was with an entity of some type, she glared at the group of people, while the entity had tried to possess her. I originally thought kurayami was male, so i changed it up a bit (DAMN 1K LIKES? THANKS YALL)

Idk if I understood,but my theory: the girl with purple kimono was sad because everyone had a friend/partner and she was all alone,she suffered a lot until that monster came,she was happy she had someone but she was getting kinda concerned when she saw that everyone was with other people and she was with a creepy monster

I really think each book has meanings to it, like, control: getting controlled Jealousy: literally just jealousy 💀 Rage: Anger, following the demon's rage (maybe) Rebirth: back from the dead, ready for revenge (just like any other japanese souls who seek for revenge, and again..maybeeee)

Chihiro in here looks mature. But in in-game, she looks like a 7-year old. I gotta say, The Mimic has improved alot!

Thank you so much for the developers for working hard, chapter 2 is going to be amazing by what I can tell from the trailers!! Edit: I just finished it, it was really good! I recommenced to play it :)

Theory/Explanation: Chihiro was a orphan who used to go out into the town everyday, and she would see kids and their parents playing around. She got jealous of them, but soon enough her jealousy turned into anger and grief. She started to go insane and get upset as the days pass and she sees more people being happy with their parents, and soon enough she would pray every day to get someone by her side. A parent, a friend, anybody. As the days went by, one day, she finally got her wish. Chihiro met the tall woman, and she referred her to her own mother. Chihiro and the tall woman became friends, and the tall woman would kill any person that would bother Chihiro for Chihiro’s trust and love.

story: chihrio (the girl from the book) is/was an orphan, she never had any sister or friends so she watched as all the kids playing together having parents/friends/sibling ( 0:02 ) then she started feeling jealous because she did not have anyone and she saw how many kids had parents/somebody to love them ( 0:12 ) then one day she felt so overwhelmed with jealousy ( 0:13 / 0:17 ) that she one day prayed ( 0:28 ) to have someone then she had some what of a mother figure ( 0:32 ) and now she and then she became what she was in the game, a girl with stitch mouth

So for those who want to know about it in the real game the black lady is called “mother” and the little girl wants to play hide and seek with you and if you find her you move of because she helps you but she also said “before mother finds you” so that happens in chapter 2

Amazing work! Mimic has been honestly one of the most important pieces in my life. I used to play everyday/night with my best friend and our friend group all the time! It has truly brought me some of the most amazing memories, and I can't thank the game dev's and the creator enough for everything they've done and all the time they've dedicated to this wonderful game. Thank you, and thank you to the community for helping make all of this possible by supporting CTStudios. =)

Just finished the game, and oh my god. I am beyond spellbound, I usually don’t write such comments but this really deserves it. It’s like no other chapter I’ve ever played. The creativity, thought and effort put into not only the development of the game but also the lore. It somehow made my blood curl although it’s just a game, it’s simply so realistic and can get you immersed in itself so quickly it’s almost like magic. The voice acting and the jumpscares, the way the monsters have been modeled everything about it simply beyond my words. I was so on-edge at every point in time! This is a longer chapter and of course a little more difficult than most, but that’s what allows it to incorporate all the details. Thank you so so much devs! The time we spent waiting was definitely not in vain. <333 Editing this to ask a YouTuber to please publish a video with the full lore, i couldn’t decipher it entirely for some reason. 😭😭

My theory is pretty simple: Basically Cihiro becomes jealous for all those children in the village beacuse they spend time and have fun with their mothers and beacuse of this jealousy she would do anything to have a mother figure of her own. What happens is, out of jealousy, she ends up praying to Enzukai who (said by The Worshipper) is like a god. She gets herself a mother but this leads her into being manipulated and in the end all the villagers die. Cihiro meaning = a thousand souls.

I can’t believe how far y’all have come I’m so happy to be apart of the release of Book 2 Chapter 2! I’m so proud of the mimic team and grateful to have them! ❤ I’m excited to try it out.
