Fallout Mobile - A Java-based mobile phone game from 2009.
Using assets from Fallout 1, 2 and 3, it is the first Fallout game on a portable platform, way before Fallout Shelter. So how come you’ve probably never heard of it then?

Is Todd trying to hide the last bastion of classic Fallout from us? A game that closer evokes the original 90s titles many fell in love with. And why is there barely any information about this game anywhere online? It’s time to change that.

This is the story of The Fallout Game Bethesda Doesn’t Want You to Know About.

If you're curious about the interview with the developer, you can find the full translated interview linked in the description. *Correction at 4:50. TES Travels: Shadowkey was not released in 2022 lol. It should read 2004.

Any creator that makes fun of a Raid sponsorship or Raid in general has my respect.
  • @samwill7259
It was made by two people for a school contest and the code is probably still less glitchy than whatever Bethesda spent 800 million dollars on.
  • @pendantblade6361
Game history like this is mega important so happy you're covering it.
  • @Silverman160Zero
10:18 - Jenny's picture here is just Sheva from Resident Evil 5. And 20:03 - The pharmacist here is just Rei from Fatal Frame 3.

2:42 The Doom and Wolfenstein games you're referencing are both RPGs and are quite different, and more suited to phones, from the "iconic" original games. Just so people know :) Thanks for the video. I've never heard about this is it's facinating.

Overdosed on nostalgia between the throwback to TES Travels on my old Samsung flip phone and Spyro. I think you might be right about the English translation being by way of Russian from the original Spanish - a few things survived double machine translation and actually make sense, then the rest of it is just... hilarious. Anyway, great stuff as always. If something happens to you, we'll know it was the ZeniMax legal team that ordered the hit. I heard that their hitmen are sourced from a mysterious organisation known only as the Chess Club, and if Todd is there to see you die, he whispers in your ear, 'Fallout 3 was going to have 200 endings... You'll only have one.'

Tbh I wished Bethesda choose the Sega route and help publish the game with them

It was gratifying to have watch entertainment. о нет, остальная часть комментария не была переведена

I played this back in the day. Got the file from phone forums. Never progressed because of the language barrier. There was also the fan made Starcraft Ghost project.

Man, the look and feel of these old school mobile games is something special.
  • @miroslavzima8856
Those games were good for only one thing: You could flex at school that you have games on your phone!
  • im surprised that a game like this existed that stole content from other games before the modern mobile landscape where they do it all the time

I also want to try to start a thread that finds out what the non-fallout artwork is from since i recognized most of them. I'm guessing the people involved were huge fans of Resident Evil since a lot of them are from there. I think it'd be fun so to get the ball rolling, here are the ones i could identify in no particular order: The master: Is the reborn leech version of James Marcus from Resident Evil 0 Carol: Alyssa Ashcroft from Resident Evil Outbreak Carl: Jim Chapman from Resident Evil Outbreak. Director: Mark Wilkins from Resident Evil Outbreak. Jack Oneill: George Hamilton from Resident Evil Outbreak Sandra: Claire from ps1 Resident Evil 2. I believe it's from a promo 3d render used in magazines back in the days. Jenny: Sheva Alomar from Resident Evil 5. Pharmacist: Rei Kurosawa from Fatal Frame 3 Daughter: Maya Amakura from Fatal Frame 2 Here are the people i couldn't identify through reverse image search and pure googling. Will update with credits if someone chimes in! Barry Conell: Randy K: Paul: Marta: Also, speaking of rough translations. Enable CC for this video, it's kinda funny.

Jwlar always makes the most obscurely interesting videos out there.
  • @davidponder1654
There’s two types of devs. One who is proud and serious about loving their IP and loves all of the community made stuff. And money grabbers who take fan made games down.

And so the lone wanderer was sent to the wastes to get the water chip. He returned triumphant, but he was turned away at the door, for the chip was russian.
  • @TwoSouthFarm
I actually played this game for a few minutes, at least 5 years ago. Everything was in Russian and I felt like that game I downloaded was probably broken.
