Ibrahim AS [Prophet Abraham PBUH] had two son, Ismail AS & Ishaq AS. Ishaq AS had two sons- Al Eis and Yaqub AS [Prophet Jacob PBUH]. The Bayt Al Muqaddis [Masjid Al Aqsa] was built by Yaqub AS. He had twelve children. Ten from one mother and two from another mother. The two from other mother are Yusuf AS [Prophet Joseph PBUH] and Benyamin. Yusuf AS was very handsome, cute child. Allah SWT says the story of Yusuf AS is the best of story. The whole story in one Surah named Surah Yusuf. The story starts with a dream. One day Yusuf AS when he was a child, he saw a dream. He saw eleven stars and the sun and the moon all of them prostrating to him. He was very excited and he relates this dream to his father Yaqub AS. Yaqub AS realised this is a special dream that his son is been chosen by Allah SWT. And Yaqub AS said don't relate this dream to your brothers because they may plot against you. The elder brothers were jelous of Yusuf AS and Benyamin. They said our father loves Yusuf over us. They planned a plot. They first plan to kill him. But elder brother came up with another plan to put him in a well. They convinced Yaqub AS to take Yusuf AS to play with them . They put Yusuf AS in a well. A caravan came and took water from the well but they received the cute child. They were amazed. They took Yusuf AS to Egypt and they sold there. The child was brought by Aziz, the minister of Egypt. Yusuf AS grew in the house of Aziz. The wife of Aziz [Zulekha] sought to seduce him but Yusuf AS rejected. And the Aziz came in. When she saw her husband, she twisted the story. So Allah SWT send a witness from her family which support Yusuf AS. The news spread and the rumours go around the streets of Egypt. The wife of the Aziz called a meeting of the women of high class society and she provide them with fruits and knife to cut. Then she called Yusuf AS, when he walks in they all forgot everything. That was the beauty of Yusuf AS. He had given the half of the beauty of all creation. Now seduction is around from every side. He made a dua- Oh Allah! Prison is better than what they are calling too. They put Nabi of Allah, Yusuf in the Jail. There he gave dawah to his companions in the Jail. Allah SWT gave Yusuf AS a special miracle to interpret dreams. He interpreted the dream of two prisoners. After a while, king saw a dream and no one is able to interpret. One was with Yusuf AS in the jail was present with the king at that time. He said I know a person who can interpret dreams at best. So the king called Yusuf AS. Yusuf AS interpreted the dream of the king but He refuses to came out until his innocence was proved. So the king open the old file. And the court proves Yusuf AS was innocent. Yusuf AS came out of prison with respect. King asked him what you want as a reward. He asked the job of the treasurer. Yusuf AS ruled Egypt. At that time, the drought hit every where. The brothers of Yusuf came to Egypt for the ration. They dont identify Yusuf AS but Yusuf AS identified them. Yusuf AS gave them ration. And he teach them a good lesson. And he forgives them. At last, his all family came to Egypt and they lived there with Yusuf AS. In the end, his childhood dream came true. All of them prostrated to him. Rasoolullah [SAW] says the most noble of all men is Yusuf AS. He has the best lineage. He was very handsome. Allah SWT gave Prophet Yusuf AS the power of interpretation of dreams. The Surah Yusuf contains oceans of meanings and lessons. The complete story in one Surah. Allah SWT says the story of Prophet Yusuf AS is the best story. The language it is written in, the words, the expressions that Allah SWT uses is absolutely amazing in this story. These stories are not to entertain us. These stories are to derive lessons and reflect. Share this story to the maximum.

When we arrive in Jannah, we're told this is our home forever. A wise scholar was asked to define the word 'forever' - He said if you filled the entire Earth with mustard seeds, from the deepest ocean bed to the vast sky & if a bird collected just 1 seed then came back 1 billion years later, & collected the 2nd seed, then came back 1 billion years later to collect the 3rd mustard seed. By the time the bird had emptied the entire Earth of mustard seeds, you and I would still be in Jannah and even way beyond that too.

I love this surah and it’s one of my favorite surahs. When I’m going through hardship, sorrow, difficulty or pain I exercise sabr. And remind myself of the patience Jacob (a.s) and Josef (a.s) had. Another beautiful story that I reminds myself of is patience of prophet Ayyub (a.s)
