One thing I wanna add just in case it might be hard for the international fans to understand. The reason why Wen KeXing was wearing the purple cloak when he left to meet Ye Baiyi is because he didn't expect he will be able to return and if he died, that will be used to cover his dead body. It is based on a poem basically saying generals go to wars wearing cloaks just in case they won't return and no body will bury his body.

He stood his ground both with A Xiang when she wanted him to leave his sister behind and for A Xiang when someone was doubting her. He is the exact opposite of a toxic man. He's perfect. Wen is a result of consequences. He did not choose to be part of the evil. He was a helpless child and was abducted to that bad place. He tried his very best to survive on his own and yet now, his past is now a stain to his future and a stumbling block to pursuing a normal life again. His only consolation is having found Zhou along the way. Zhou is indeed the only light in Wen’s life.

Can we talk abt how healthy zhou zishu and wen kenxing relationship is , so different from other drama we have seen, no unnecessary dramas( unless they're flirting), no malice, no playing hard to get, no misunderstanding, just pure maturity and healthy communication.... Its such a breathe of fresh air ...this couple set the standard high, after this i dont think i can do any headache dramas again, give me simple and well coordinated couple.

I just love love love how ZZS took on the burden of guilt WKX carries about Cheng Ling's family's death. He was resolute, clear and straightforward about the whole thing. "After I am cured, let's find the killers, and then confess to Cheng Ling together". I think, in any relationship where one half is under a weigh of heavy guilt, this act of empathy and compassion from their partner often saves them more than anyone can imagine.

This episode was the epitome of how crazy in love WKX & ZZS are for each other. Their willingness to die for each other disregarding the fact that they have a baby waiting for them back home. Haha...but dear God...this episode was powerful!
