Eloise saying that Penelope wanting to take a husband was โso unlike herโ shows how much their friendship was always centred around Eloise and what she thought and wanted with Pen just as a listener but it not being reciprocated. Because Penelope very clearly stated from the first season to episode that she wanted to marry and find love but Eloise only thinks of herself. If they are to become friends again Eloise has to learn how to be less selfish
