This video follows a group of woodworkers as they work on framing the walls of a home construction project. They carefully measure and mark the locations for bolting down the pressure-treated bottom plates, ensuring the walls will be level and plumb. The team discusses techniques like overdrilling the bolt holes to make installation easier. They use a laser level to find the average height across the walls and determine the optimal stud length. Overall, it provides an informative look at the meticulous process of framing a house from the ground up.

  • Its heart-warming that Jamie can talk about his hand around others in a light-hearted, humorous way. The doctor-support team (nurses, tecs, specialists) never get paid enough. Most of them do it because of their dedication to their fellow citizens. Its humbling to witness how people overcome their handicaps.

Jamie, it looked to me like that construction calculator said your stud length should have been 107 7/8", not the 107 1/8" as mentioned in the video @12:40. Was the camera lying to me? EDIT: Of course, I see that Eric caught the error... Good job, Eric!
  • @ElvisKremmen
The difference from the end of the video to the advert in the middle is wild, really starting to take shape now that the wood is going up.
  • @dustinboyce25
My brain cannot reconcile why seeing 3 stud walls up feels like so much more progress than all of the civil and concrete work to date.
  • @shannons3377
That’s “re-markable”. Jamie always has the best one-liners. Clever and funny 😂

Friends; your videos are top high like a high IMDb TV series, each episode awaited impatiently. You are not just building a home but also entertaining people. What you are doing is priceless. 🎉
  • Man, I almost forgot you guys worked with wood. 😂😂 So good to hear the nail gun going again. :)

I'm always disappointed when these videos end. I just can't get enough! 😍
  • @justinscott7492
Ive never seen the crew so excited to do ANYTHING with the walls! haha! Everyone laying sill seal, measuring bolt spacing, marking plates....you guys are awesome!
  • @williammoore4101
Using explaining to Max as a means to going over how you operate and recording it for your videos seems like an awesome opportunity. Great video yet again, dudes!
  • @robseg
The way everyone gets along and jokes with each other is what makes this channel fun to watch.
  • @frankvictor3163
Love watching the entire process, with all the challenges and complications so far. Bring on the framing and flooring etc...!!
  • @WhiteMageMusic
I loved seeing the Arlo content - his years of experience interjecting tips all the time. Now, it’s great watching y’all teaching Max on the site. So much patience and how-to. This is such great content
  • @tood6459
Max is learning from the best, but definitely drinking water from a fire hose right now! :)
  • @Sarutaru06
Most jobs our company does call for Hilti/Simpson anchor bolts that allow you to just hammer drill into the concrete and start the layout wherever it's convenient. So we don't use double bottom plates unless the gypcrete is tall enough to interfere with hanging dry-wall, which doesn't typically happen on a concrete floor.

I get so ridiculously excited when a new video drops. It's a video of some blokes building some stuff, yet here I am, giddy at the prospect of watching some blokes build some stuff 🤷‍♂️
