Stranger: "You killed all them Grays... ...all their cousins!" Arthur: "And I lost an annoying brother of mine...."

"They shot at us, we shot back. We just shot better, that's all." This honestly might be one of the coldest lines I've heard in this game.

The penalty for Sean’s death is the whole gray family goes extinct

I mean, his reaction isn't unreasonable. We just happen to play as Arthur and so we know how his character works, but to the average citizen of that time the Van der Linde gang was nothing but a bunch of cheating, thieving and murdering outlaws that probably spread fear and grief through every town that they visited in the game.

Damn Arthur's comeback we shot better was badass. I never encountered this guy of four years of playing this game. Thanks for sharing

I don't think that there's a game out there more detailed than rdr2

"Don't try to act like you was the victim." Then don't try to act tough around the killer of 30+ Grays then!

    Most sane rdr2 player
  • @Rapotris
actually... he's right. People forget sometimes that Arthur is a murderer, we love him cause we know he's not a Micah Bell, but he's a killer anyways

Stranger: "You killed all them Grays... ...all their cousins!" Arthur: "A simple 'thank you' would suffice."

That's some old school shit right there, getting strangled up against a whole ass wagon wheel...

Arthur points out that while the gang lost the initiative roll, they had a bunch of natural 20s with saving & skill rolls!
  • I just shot the dynamite barrel in front of the gunsmith lol, dude's arm dissapeared like a father that went out to buy milk

This whole mission was based on the James – Younger gang's failed Northfield Minnesota robbery. pretty decent recreation from the 1981 film the long riders, except for it's slow motion, loving examination of bullet strikes.

If this was real life, I'd say Arthur has a point about the shootout, but it's unnecessary to chase the guy down and beat him up for what he said. I would say someone who reacts that way has some anger issues. But considering it's a video game I mightve done the same thing because who are NPCs to lecture us about morality?
  • @R3fug333
The guy has a point. From his POV you came in and shot up the town.

This reminds me of a scene in HBO's The Sopranos where two arguing Italian gangsters are interrupted by a restaurant waiter for not tipping. The gangsters still agitated from their argument try to dismiss the waiter for being so uptight about not being tipped, which makes the waiter lose his patience and admits his job is hard because he has to support a family, then shames the gangsters by saying, " go piss of that money on Black Jack, you jack asses," which really make the Italian mobsters mad and end up killing the waiter for speaking a hard truth about their standards in society.
