I love how the bat and spider in the forbidden forest feel like a callback to the 2001 wave. Those guys were practically main characters back then.

Lego: hmm we need to make new harry potter sets for 2024, any ideas? Fans: we would love more deathly hallows sets Lego: 4 billionth remake of Hagrids hut it is

The book accurate Ravenclaw tile in the sorting hat set is the smallest detail, but one most HP merch tends to ignore

I would love those new 1x2 cheese slopes in both gray colors, as well as brown and other earth tones! Could be a great landscaping piece.

Yay a ford that comes as its own set and not in a bigger one
  • @jzargo7443
I'm not really a harry potter fan, but I like cars and the stand-alone ford is an easy buy. Hagrid's hut looks like it could fit well alongside my blacksmith shop and the new medieval town square 🤔

That's insane. I can't believe it took this long for them to produce a smooth grate, it's such an incredibly versatile part. Should be as ubiquitous as the cheese slope. We also need a cheese slope that's one brick tall.

As someone who's collected every frog color, I'm so hyped for the olive green frog!
  • Lego fan : "God awful stickers" Also lego fans : "as usual, not printed very well"
  • @TaswellStudios
Honestly, i wasn't too excited about a new Hagrids hut, but honestly it looks great! I hope we get a bigger Great hall in this new wave

Those oven mitts make getting the set worth it for everybody, not just Harry Potter fans.

THE 1X2 CHEESE SLOPE WITHOUT THE GRATE. I was thinking about this piece just the other day, and now here it is. Why hasn't it existed before?
  • @EzBricks_
That one by two cheese slops has been my dream for years!!!! 😅😅😅
  • @FrontierTheory
That grate -less 1 by 2 is amazing i always though as a child that they existed But i just did not have them

Best Lego YouTuber, he always hears everything before everyone else. Always has a good ear to find all the good sets early too!
  • @brickinitLego
Its great that we are finally getting a bronze eagle for the Ravenclaw badge for the first time in the sorting hat.

On the one hand it seems like this wave is trying to win back the slightly older crowd the theme was targeted at from 2018-20 by making a less blocky castle, returning to the gray roofs, and dropping the disposable foldout sets. At the same time there’s a lot of that early 2000s HP magic here for the first time in awhile, most obviously in the hidden compartment in the boathouse set which feels straight out of 2001. All the creatures in the hogwarts sets are very early 2000s too. I think this third iteration of the rebooted theme could be one of the best based on just these smaller sets. Also I hadn’t realized how different the new flying car is. It’s still an easy pass for me though and I’ll wait until it’s inevitably rereleased again. Not all positives though. Hagrid’s Hut and especially the sorting hat feel very overpriced. The sorting hat also really doesn’t look like it’s at the level of detail I’d expect for an 18+ set but I’m not sure what could’ve been done to improve it.
  • Love the forbidden forest. Its strange - if a set like that were released on the star wars side of things people would have a mental breakdown over how inaccurate it is. A lot of the magic and creativity of lego has been lost to that mindset.

Cho was in 6th year when the owlery encounter was done and Harry was in 5th year. It's odd for them to use medium legs for young adults but Daniel Radcliffe is a short king so
