figs are very high in oxalic acid that inhibits the absorption of their calcium content into the body, unlike milk or other dairy.

Puerto Rican love it because it’s good cheap we make it with potato tomato sauce spices and white rice, and we still need it today

Propylene glycol is added to antifreeze because it’s less toxic than ethylene glycol. It makes it less harmful.

Philippine corned beef was different to Western ones. Western corned beef were solid due to near absence of liquids. Philippines meanwhile, uses broth to thicken the meat, beef weren't cured, some uses texturized vegetable protein to bulk up the can.
