Dear Barbra was born with a lip defective that she never bothered to correct. I love that. What a voice!!
  • I knew when this concert was announced that it would be a once in a lifetime event. It didn’t matter I couldn’t afford it, I saved and bought two tickets for this concert in 1994 at the Pond in Anaheim, CA. It was everything I wanted it to be. Barbra was fabulous! The seats I purchased happened to be seats the camera crew wanted so on the night of the concert, they upgraded my seats to a section closer to the stage. How lucky was I? It was a once in a lifetime event. 🙌👏🥰❤️

Much praise goes to that amazing orchestra under the direction of Marvin Hamlisch, RIP.

After reading Barbra’s autobiography, I decided to search for her work. I listened to this concert which summarized her life for me. Barbra is a talent that will never be forgotten for her acting, singing, directing and producing…but most importantly for her activism & generous foundation. Barbra will leave a foot print of great deeds.🌈🩷💜

She's 52 in this video and sings like she's 20. Her voice is so unique. I do think she's the best.

One of the best concerts ever. Her singing is so rich and controlled. And she was 52. And she looked so beautiful.

This is quite possibly the most perfect concert of any artist. I have had the privilege of seeing her in concert twice. She had the hushed audience enthralled each time. She is an unmatched talent.

My parents favourite artist I grew up with your songs and still do now My Mum had the Way we Were at her funeral, we laughed every day, she was my best friend and I miss her everyday but your voice says she is alive Love you xx
  • This is Barbra's signature concert of her career. There were others before it but in 1994 there was significant anticipation on how she would perform and Marvin Hamlisch did not let her down. He laid down the template for all future concerts for this legendary artist. Thank you Marvin.

I was there, I was 30 at the time. I saw her 2nd night at the MGM, Jan 1st 1994 before it was known she would tour. She didn't sing Somewhere at MGM, but I was so glad she did here. I was suppose to attend her concert earlier, but due to her laryngitis, me and my Aunt got bumped to closing night. After all these years, and the many concerts of other artists I've seen, this has to be the most well designed concert and beautiful stage I've seen, incredible sound, she was in great voice; it's the only time I've ever seen or heard her hold the last note of Evergreen on one breath, long long, like the studio recording; this night she did it effortlessly. She had to re-film several songs. After she sang Somewhere, closing song, she came back on stage and said something like "I know you all are probably tired and want to go home, but we have to reshoot 4 songs and if any of you could stay...." well the place went insane! Marvin Hamlisch entertained us during the 20 minute break before she came back by playing happy birthday on the piano the way each of the great classical composers might have done at a party ha ha very fun! She sang 5 more songs, adding What Are You Doing The Rest of Your Life which was NOT in the concert but included in the HBO special. She also re-sang Somewhere, which was great, BUT the first version - that for some reason was not shot correctly - was actually even stronger and she held the last note stronger and longer. The 2nd version that ended up in the HBO special was still really great, but the first version during the actual concert was just mind blowing!!. And just think, I would have missed this HBO filming and the extra songs if I had not been bumped to the closing night. It's a memory I treasure.

In the realm of musical brilliance, there stands an artist who effortlessly transcends the boundaries of vocal prowess - with a range that astounds the senses! Barbra Streisand has the remarkable ability to delicately whisper her notes or unleash her magnificent voice that reverberates through stadiums. I am forever grateful that I saw her live in concert in Switzerland. Her perpetual talent is simply insatiable. The spectacular display of her vocal excellence leaves audiences awestruck and to describe her talent as anything less than breathtaking would be an injustice. To me, her perfection resonates in every fiber of her being and her performances are an embodiment of musical flawlessness that captivates listeners from around the world. Barbra Streisand's talent has etched her name into the annals of musical history. To me she is unparalleled, a one-of-a-kind gem that will forever remain among the most exceptional vocalists to have ever graced the stage. Thank you ! 🎶 🎵 ❤
