the ancient city’s were always underground the ancient builders made it to escape the wither the portal was lead to the skulk demension and that’s were the warden and skulk came from and destroyed the ancient city into nothing but ruins

this reminds me of Lion King you know uncle tricks the young prince, into doing something they don't understand, their father ends up getting killed by trying to save his son, the young king is left alone with his fathers mantle, the uncle becomes the false king, and then the uncle and the nephew go at eachother for the Throne of the king to become king.
