I'm pretty sure Tommy has spent years and years building debts trying to look like a successful and cool man, and the Amico was his last desperate grift to try and save himself. It would explain why he went so aggressive at the "haters", and now why he's selling his house.

He should sell that house and personally use the money to pay refunds for every person who pre-ordered an Intellivision Amico. That should come out HIS own pocket. Then maybe he'll show he has a shred of integrity, which we all know he doesn't.
