This is EXACTLY what I was looking for, not a summary of the 3 games, but an entire explanation of the entire history and lore of the series. Thank you, the amount of work that went into these must be immense.
  • @SeniorCharry
Nicole recognized that the brain waves are symbols and links it to the marker, decoded an alien language, figured out a cure, and was almost able to stop 1000s or years of the marker's destruction, but who would've thought that a single med kit would decide the fate of the galaxy. No wonder why Nicole had to die before the games started, she would've cured the infection within 5mins of the outbreak.

Man the fact that you did this all in canonic order and blended it so seamlessly made it all the more insane to enjoy. Thank you so much for this.

It’s insane how early in the timeline the black marker was causing all these visions, murders, and suicides way before the actual story events took off, even creating early necromorphs. Human intervention due to the events happening is the only reason why this went as far as it did, and in a scary sense, it was all inevitable, because that’s what the marker was designed and created to do.
  • Altman sounds like a good guy definitely deserves his own game a dead space prequel
  • @MarvelousPhilly
Once again, you've done an awesome job putting games, books, movies etc together to create one dope storyline video of one of my favorite series. So yeah, I definitely appreciate it.
  • All of these events even before the games started just for Isaac Clark to become the chosen one in the entire series is just amazing by how you make this in order. Thank you.
  • The amount of similarities between Altman and Isaac is perfect irony. - Hate unitology - Have the mental fortitude to stave off the marker signal - The marker uses visions their lovers to bait them - Both survive horrible situations just to be used to further unitology (Michael as a martyr and Isaac as the builder of a new marker) - Both are men of high intelligence and are in their 40s
  • I will always adore Dead Space. The setting, the gameplay, the story…. Hell, I even collected the comic book hardback!!!! Honestly, it’s hard not to miss this series….though I’m glad there’s spiritual successors coming out
  • My teachers hated that those were the two books i read in school. One specifically asked me what is was about... She never questioned me again when i was reading. Loved the series. Edit: I've always loved how Michael altman is an unintended martyr. It was so much fun to read and see how things played out. Catalyst was such a quick read that i couldn't stop. I highly reccomend the read for anyone interested

Never thought this game had a deep lore. It's interesting yet complicated. Now i want to play dead space 2 and 3.
  • I LOVED how well DS1 DS Extraction, the comic on Aegis VII and the animated movie all weaved together so well, where actions from characters in each of these popped up in little bits of lore or environmental storytelling in other stories
  • I feel bad for humanity at the end of Dead Space 3. I can only hope we eventually get a Dead Space 4 game, where at least we might be able to see if there are any survivors, or at least a rebel faction hidden underground.

It really took a “fate of all life in the universe” twist in the final game and I can see why the series died off. The premise, the mystery, the horror are all amazing. Throwing in the cult unitologist stuff very cool. Even having a giant moon mass being the “convergence” is a cool concept. But damn it might as well just be a sequel to Halo at this point and have ancient aliens making a fail safe to wipe all necrotic tissue or something. The scales just light speeded in the span of a single game that multiple fleshy moons the size of earth is attacking earth. There’s no coming back from that. I think that’s sort of a hole a lot of existential horror stories fall into. It’s like how a really good story of a zombie outbreak in city or town, will lose the magic when the sequels end up leaning towards a world wide zombie pandemic.

Still a great game to play even now, the jump scares, the silence of floating through space looking for air canisters, always loved it

Listening to all these story recaps during work makes the days fly by man. I love listening to these.

The amount of dedication you put into these timeline videos is amazing. Nice work, this is awesome. ❤️😎👏👏👏
  • This trilogy was amazing. I wish there were more games in the franchise. I feel like it was my first real introduction into horror because before this I used to hate horror. This franchise opened the gates wide open.
