whether this lady was confused through alcoholism or father-time, this lady was walked into your life, not once, but twice, to remind you and us to stay on the path we are on, or contemplating getting on. cheers.

Consider calling the police non-emergency number and letting them know about it. They do welfare checks for stuff like that in my neck of the woods.
  • Thank you for the compassion and kindness you showed this woman, it could be the most kindness she has felt in many many year's. You are a jewel and God is using you and stretching you beyond this channel. ❤❤❤
  • You're a very kind soul with a really big heart to be so gentle with some one so fragile.

Lucky she found you and not some horrible person

Oh LD Oh dear I’m crying Nothing is coincidence God love her
  • Hey G, wow that's an experience that you probably never had. Before my drinking got really bad I moved in with my father gave up my condo and moved in with him. He had a stroke but recovered somewhat. Fast forward 5 years my father when out of the apartment while I was sleeping walk the block the cops brought him back to the apartment. They actually wanted to put me in jail because he was walking around by itself. Was the first time he ever went out while I was sleeping. I was so upset crying glad that they found him and I was in handcuffs. Luckily his neighbor seen all the commotion and came over and told the cops that he had dementia. He never drank but if that woman has dementia and drinking she really needs 24-hour care. Thank you so much for being there for her you were her angel love you G. Wow you brought back that memory for me very scary with the elderly❤❤❤

I would also suggest calling the police so they can go check on her and her dog.

Thanks for sharing LD! This is such a sad story! I know this did shake you up and scared you. Dementia runs in my family and it’s such a sad and horrible situation to be in! 😢

Best thing a dad can do!!! Enjoy yourself please Take your time with the ones u love!! Watch that vid on ❤ U
  • That story gave me chills . That poor old lady . It’s most likely that her life long excessive drinking habits caused her dementia like symptoms. I am 21 months sober now and I am really grateful to have my mental clarity back . I do believe that drinking to excess especially as you get older , eventually destroys the brain .

Wow, she made it to 80 as an alcoholic, it didnt kill her. Shes even able to walk all that way twice. With probable dementia, amazing!

You’re a gentle soul. God bless you for being so kind to her. Having lived through the end stages of alcoholism with my husband, the confusion they feel can be so sad. Again. You’re a wonderful person to help her.
  • God bless you for helping this lady. I'm so curious. She must be in really good physical condition to walk all that way carrying a dog. It's unfortunate that her mental capacity is diminished but I wonder how she stays in such good physical condition

  • Hey LD, ya know I really enjoy your personal experience videos and that is really nice of you to help that lady out. That is really sad. No worries about the live you enjoy your family tomorrow!

In the early 1990’s I worked as a Mental Health Technician on an Alzheimer’s Unit at a local hospital and what you described sounds like some form of Demetria. It’s extremely sad to witness people in such a poor state of mental wellbeing. I hope that lady gets some help before she ends up lost in the woods and can’t find her way out.
