  • That “doorway “ you’re making in your basement, to the outside, you should put in a double door and make it a walk out basement! We did that, and our kids played in the basement on the unfinished cement floors, even riding bikes and rollerblading! The door makes it easier to carry things in and out of the basement…like a huge extra freezer, for a cow we had butchered!!

Roman is absolutely a gentleman with his own style of humor.
  • Abit of ADVICE TO YOU COLE...as you make the trenches in the land, you should make a schematic design to KNOW WHERE your live [ ACTIVE ] cables are and what depth they are. Do this to ALL trenching you do, then in future YOU KNOW excatly where they are, what depth etc etc. I love what you do.

Justin is a kind soul. He never tries to get even when he is teased.

Cole. You are doing a great job and I know your grandpa would have been so proud of you carrying on the family tradition

Time to make blueprints with all old and new wires and pipes outlined on the farmstead map. Saves a lot of time on the next upgrade.
  • As a contracting officer for the Army, I always demanded a set of "AS BUILTs". Documentation of where the underground stuff is. This was critical as we opened the and put more things into a trench we had already installed, as for your big door on the basement wall, it could cause big problems with water in the basement. Lately, with all the flooding could be a real problem. it would make a nice entrance to a tornado shelter if properly reinforced.
  • The stuff you are doing and your ability to cope with all of this at such a young age blows my mind. You are something special !!!!

Suggestion...document what you know about where wires are buried and put that into each relevant electrical box for future reference.
  • starting to think it would have been easier to have just jacked the roof up, bulldozed everything under it, and then to simply built back up to the roof. These videos have been very entertaining and enjoyable to watch, so I am glad you chose the "slow" method. God has blessed you with great neighbors as friends.

I had mentioned a long time back about doing this access into the basement, so glad to see it happening! It will be great addition. When you do the foundation for the addition, I hope you out an access into that basement so yo don't lose this one. While I really enjoy all the farming stuff, what had brought me here in the first place, this remodel is even better!
  • Just a suggestion - Maybe make a plan of the new electric line for future generations so when they want to remodel they will not have the same issue as you.
  • Cole, I just want to say again how super proud of you, I am. I love your sense of duty to make things right. I love the camaraderie you share with Justin and Roman. Thank you for the content. God loves you all!

Cooper should tie his beautiful hair back when he’s welding because we don’t want his hair to catch fire 🔥
  • I love these video , they’re so honest and forthcoming. I told my husband he’s not the only one that has problems working on the house. One problem leads to another problem and it just keeps on going….keep going it will get better.👍🏻👍🏻
  • “We have Roman for a reason” 🤣😂🤣 ROMAN, you along with Justin, are the SUPER constructionist’s, keep kicking butt and train Cole on the proper way to get things done.
  • Cole, I am amazed at how much knowledge you have about the workings of the structure, the plumbing and electricity of your farm. Also the mechanical aspects of all the equipment you work with. You are such a knowledgeable young man and I am sure your parents and Nave are so proud of you. I love watching your videos! Keep up the good work! 😊
