Epic is honestly genius for how much of the game development pipeline is slowly being added to UE5. The more your pipeline uses UE5 the more you are "trapped" within the ecosystem. If your modelling, rigging, texturing, etc. is all within UE5 it will be very hard to move away from it.

Would love to get more procedural landscaping tutorials that mix unreal with Gaea/Worldmachine or anything that lets you create vast open worlds for ue5
  • @LonePhoenix36
Someday we will finally be able to modeling, rigging, texturing and animate a full 3D model inside Unreal Engine, without being forced to go through Blender or other 3D Modeling engine. I love using Blender, but exporting an animated and complex 3D Model from Blender to Unreal Engine 5 has always been a pain to me (A lot of glitches and unexpecting results) and I just wish Unreal Engine will contain a full 3D Modeling engine inside it.

Not many people seem to know about how lighting pretty much doesn't work in orthographic camera. Can't wait to see if they fixed that in 5.3.

Awesome news! I'm excited to check out the landscapes and rigging features. Looking forward to next videos. Thank you bro.

  • @VRDivision
I'm really excited about PCG and VR updates, thanks for the greater video mate!
  • @ITAngel
These look pretty amazing for sure. Great coverage on this update. Thanks! ***Question. The course you have do you plan to continue developing after it is done like adding additional stuff to the course that covers other tips and tricks / ideas etc...?
  • @stormr
Id like to know and see more about the updates to character and animations. Its not too difficult in 5.2 but id liked to see if its easier in 5.3. Plus some of the other skeltal mesh stuff you mentioned
  • @leolehane9988
I'm interested in all of it tbh. I'm looking to get into building some games a stuff, so this is really exiting. 100% grabbing that course you set up

Tiled landscapes didn't go away... just changed a bit. There are issues with it reading them correctly and it's picky about naming conventions. It does it's best to autodetect when you choose on file from the set in a folder. Just be sure you don't have other stuff in the same folder.
  • im excited for landscape nanite support, because as someone with 16gb of ram, the nanite asset compression will help a lot with those bigger landscapes ( aswell as the lower gpu demand from higher res landscapes). also path tracing support for substrate is amazing! when unreal engine 5.3 comes out of preview, im going to love using substrate and pt together

Unreal 6 ought to have a built in ai assistant that can turn text prompts into usable blueprints
  • @xjuliussx
We are blessed to live such epic times!
  • @ZetaGhozt
Which software are you making your huge open world maps in? Thanks for the great vid!
  • @tazz1226
