I’ve used that exact leaf blower and it is legit tbh. Haha. I couldn’t help but notice that it’s basically just a average sized edf with a big battery. Always buy the tool /battery combos when they are sale bc the batteries are stupid expensive. Killer job! -Austin

The way that plane just fell out of the sky like a brick as soon as the wings folded was a great illustration of how amazing flight technology actually is (and how precise the specifications for achieving it are)! We tend to forget in this modern world, with jets criss-crossing the skies above being a perfectly commonplace occurrence, how impressive and extraordinary flying is. Nice to be reminded!

Great piloting skills. Better landings than I've seen from guys with RC scale models of real planes.
  • They said we were gonna have flying cars by 2020. 2019 november: flying leafblower. Gettin' there bois
  • @TroyaJamilyn
This is the best use of a leaf blower I've ever seen.
  • @Dell-ol6hb
I think the reason it seemed to fly so well the first time was because the wind gave it a boost until it changed direction and knocked it out the sky

“Fly crash repeat” would make a great t-shirt
  • @wolf1066
That's fun. When the rebuilt version took off and the wing was visibly out of whack I thought, "Oh hell, here we go again!" Was pleasantly surprised that it held out and the plane was able to do multiple circuits and landings despite the wing. Awesome work!
  • Thumbs up for the drone pilot who filmed while tracking the airplane. Not easy ! Bravo. James.

bro that ability to try again and again when you fail every time it goes without saying that this area is beautiful to see
  • @LymanPhillips
This is the happiest video I've seen all week. At the end, I was grinning like a monkey. Great camerawork and awesome job on the landings! BRAVO!

“ so it’s gonna be full power all the time “ * literally everyone smiles***
  • With the conical nozzle attached I'd expect lower static thrust but higher potential top speed (dependent on drag of the airframe, of course) due to increased exit velocity from the nozzle.
