As a fun little experiment, this video has 150 real dislikes and 404 via the extension.
-
YouTube hiding dislikes was so stuiped
-
I’ll watch at least an episode or two. It isn’t Andor, but we didn’t know Andor was Andor until we saw it.
-
I watched the trailer and was like: ehh whatever. Doesnt look bad, doesnt look suprisingly good. We will see when it comes out
-
The lack of negative criticism able to be directed at a YT video in the form of a public 'dislike' tally renders the public 'like' button virtually pointless to the viewer. It's only purpose is 1) to provide redundant analytical data to the uploader, and 2) to manipulate the viewer with positivity bias. It's YT's equivalent of the Ryugyong Hotel in North Korea.
-
They never should have removed the dislike display.
-
I didn't hate the acolyte's trailer but it really didn't seem that interesting at all
-
It’s probably just general fatigue from the force or how it’s been mishandled and people are hungry more for the other side of starwars that Andor shows with the more common man and woman, much like what Rogue Squadron could’ve been and Mandalorian started off with.
-
The problem as I see it is Disney has just demonstrated a record of poor management over the star wars IP. With rushed projects, cancellations, poor writing and directing, etc... and just overall star wars just feels like a mess right now. So think back about when we first started getting announcements for new Star wars shows the reception was overall very positive but now after getting our hopes and expectations constantly broken it's hard for a lot of fans to maintain that same optimism. I'm sure everyone wants this show to be amazing but Disney is going to have to prove to us first that they can deliver on that before this pre-emptive backlash starts to subside
-
I will give it a watch and see what it`s like. I can`t base the quality of a show based on the trailer alone.
-
The acolyte's dislike ratio is the least surprising news I've seen come out of Hollywood since the success of Endgame
-
Congrats on a million bro! Been watching you for years it makes me so happy to see so many people love your content too!
-
Keep in mind people prob don’t dislike as much because it’s harder to see the like button or u just can’t
-
The extention figures may be a bit off but given YouTube hid the dislikes to help corpos we have no choice but to go with them. People have been conditioned to dislike Disney products, years of failures and hating on fans will have that effect.
-
I think the other aspect is that one of the gals running the show was Westeins former assistant
-
Get well soon my friend! We will see how it goes!
-
I presume it's related to Headland, bith her statements and history with Weinstein.

Okay, not a hot take, just my honest opinion, I'm not excited for the Acolyte but not for the reason you might think. I'm actually decently okay with the High Republic, I'm just not fully versed in it, and as far as the Sith involvement goes, Star Wars has done weirder and more lore-bending shit before. I'm not excited for it mostly because it's likely going to re-hash a point from the prequels: "The Jedi are so caught up in their own power and supremacy that they're not able to stop the rising threat of the Sith and their own apathy and complacency kills them". I just honestly feel like we already have a good representation of this in the prequels and I don't see the need to have it be rehashed. There's plenty of dark already in the world right now, both fictional and very real, and I find it hard to get excited for a show that will inevitably have to tread some very dark ground without resolving anything. We know that a couple hundred years from this, Palpatine will destroy the Jedi and the Sith's plans will either go undiscovered until it's too late, or the Jedi of the past find out about it and cover it up, dooming the order. I don't think the show will be bad by any means, it looks decent, it's just not what I'm looking to watch right now.

Thank you so much for this video. Super informative! I will be probably be spreading this video around whenever I have the chance :)

I don’t know why they don’t make shows like Rogue Squadron or the Old Republic
