"It's like the show wants us to not understand what's going on." You just concisely summed up season 2 of Westworld in a single sentence.
-
Season 1 just felt way more complete and well put together compared to season 2

Go hard on Game of Thrones as well. I love Westworld and I agree with your points here. I love that this rant comes from the same calm bro that's been explaining things to me for about a year.

I don't think having an unsympathetic character as a protagonist is inherently a bad thing (I mean, I love both Gone Girl and Madame Bovary, and both books' protagonists are ridiculously unlikable), but, regardless of whether a character is good or bad, I don't like being forced to root for them, especially of their motivations and demeanor are as contradictory and undercooked as Dolores's were this season.
-
When you are done with Westworld S2, can you do this for GoT Season 7 as well :D
-
The non linear timeline showed Bernard's perspective. This season was all about Bernard. He was remembering stuff all the time and we only see as much as he remembers at that point in the future timeline. And than in E10 he remembers everything and the season ends.
-
This show is getting way too convoluted and the time jumping is just a gimmick.
-
Maeve cannot command hosts who are awake
-
Dolores isn't meant to be the protagonist/hero, if anything she is an anti-hero. But to me she was meant to be the villain in this season.
-
Bernard didn't actually predict anything. The conversation was obviously a conversation between Arnold and Dolores and since his son died, he felt alone and that's what he meant with waves rising around him. At the end he was completely alone and killed himself.

I hated Dolores’ arc and dialog this season. Bernard was annoying too
-
The Bernard we saw at the beginning was actually the copy of Bernard that Charlores later created. That's why he dreams of the flood
-
Love the Dolores middle finger through out this entire video XD
-
This was incredibly satisfying. Thank you, Schwift!
-
The knowledge thing, the library, is probably for the next season with it Dolores can copy the behavior of any person she read the book. She can take the place of a CEO, now that she can create host bodies
-
Characters making claims that don't turn out to be true isn't some terrible thing, they were just wrong. William thinks they're all going to be dead, but he was wrong, he can't predict the future, neither can Dolores.

I love this rant!! You held your poise so well during all the season episode explanations and now we can see the frustration you must have gone through to sort that fucking mess out!! Well done and thank you for your work and effort
