I still remember my first interview. I was so nervous, I entered the room and the interviewers first question was …. ‘Tell me about yourself.’ In my nervousness, I looked at him and said… “Hi, I’m doing my MBBS”. The problem was….I was an engineering graduate.

I’ve given a lot of interviews after that and I’ve taken interviews too. And all of them have taught me that you need to be prepared for answering…. ‘Tell me about yourself’ because the way you answer it will decide whether the Interviewer will actually listen to you or will switch to Instagram and pretend to listen to you.

Call me crazy but I don’t want you to make the same silly mistake that I did during my first interview. So today, by the end of this video, you will learn how to answer this question confidently, make a great first impression and eventually get the job.

So in today’s video we are going to…

1) Understand what answer the Interviewer wants?
2) I’ll give you a formula to answer ‘Tell me about yourself’ for any job that you are applying.
3) Assuming that English is not your first language. Towards the end, I will give you a few techniques and tell you how you can speak in English fluently.

I just gave my first interview, ever! like ten minutes ago. I got nervous and started stammering, but my interviewer was so cool about it, she asked me to relax, take a deep breath and start again. I took a deep breath, calmed my nerves and gave it my all. Let's see what happens now 🤞🏻 Edit: I got selected for the Winter Internship program

  • Hi, I would like thank you that your video helped me to prepare for my interview for one of the best MNC. I followed what you said in this video, with few modifications. I had prepared for 4-5 hours for two days, that gave me more confidence during explaining myself and my accomplishment to interview panel. Thanks again for making this video.
