I’ve been looking at several German short row heel videos and yours is the best I’ve come across as a beginner. You just explain well without filling in with chit chat. You also give really clear visuals, especially with the black background and white contrasting yarn. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for your clear and knowledgeable tutorial! When you said, “At this point, we can drop the marker,” my stomach clenched into a knot, and I thought “noooo, I might need the marker?”😮 You showed me the way and I reluctantly flicked away the markers. 😅

First short row heel that I have understood and able to do. Been a knitter for 50+ years. Thank you very much.

What a great teacher you are. Your demonstration, explanations, and videography are all so clear. One of the best knitting videos I've watched. Thank you so much!

Thank you very much! Your tutorials are very helpful. English is not my native language, but I still can easily follow your explanation and demonstration of knitting process. Plus you don’t waste time on a loooong preambles, and I think that is quite an advantage of your videos!

I could not understand German short row til you explained it so well.Thank you and I love knitting the heel that way instead
  • Suzanne, you are a treasure. I couldn't get the hang of GSR to save my neck, and here you are making it all make sense. Thank you!
  • @labdian
I've knitted a lot of socks over the years, but this is the first time I tried this heel. I just knitted alongside with your video and the heel turned out absolutely perfectly. Thank you so much for the simple explanations and the visual help. It's so much easier to do it if you see it in a video than trying to decipher a written instruction.
  • @sannaa2289
you are the first instructor who truly explained the gsr  heel and I think I might actually be able to accomplish knitting a sock, and I have watched a lot of videos, which have been useless as far as showing the full heel from beginning to end THANK YOU

Hi Suzanne, thank you for another great tutorial. Just what I needed. Of all the GSR heel tutorials I find yours the best, always straight to the point, simple and well demonstrated👏

Thank you for the first comprehensive video tutorial I’ve ever found on Germans short row heal. I’ve been really intimidated to start a pair of socks despite the many videos and books a resourced, but with your guidance I’m confident I can get through it now! Again very clear, concise, practical, and also useful.
  • I have reallly grown in my knitting over the years because you have a very easy manner in teaching. Thanks for teaching me
