In the south, we have what's called cotillion, where young people are taught to be respectful members of society. They teach you table manner etiquette, how to have conversations, and dance. In the end, there's a debutante ball where they show what they learned to parents, teachers, family, friends. Gotta wear the ball gown dress and have a date.
