since i never had heard most of these songs beyond a few my impression is a feeling of both loss and joy to able to hear them now. its a beautiful blend of jazz/r&b/soul with great brazilian rythyms that remind me of the period in the 60s that immortalized bossa nova by some of the greatest artists of the era. Also the new renditions of songs weve heard in the past are refreshing and only remind us of why we all loved them especially when they take on a different face which requires a lot of talent which they appear to have in an abundant supply even tackling movie theme songs. Both the vocalists and the musicians are great making this compilation one of the best compilations I have heard in years. Thank you for introducing me to these new artists which is an inspiration at time when the days of listening to new artists on the radio is a thing of the past and im sad to say the music sounds so similar to music heard in elevators. And to top it off its really sexy which is a tribute to the individual(s) who assembled it for our enjoyment.

Love this style of music.....chill with a groove edge!! Since it came out more predominantly in the 90's.........even the commercial version of Jamiroquai brought it to an existential level!!
