For other people that want to run around without Utsushi yelling at you: If you progress the tutorial to the point where you have to fight the izuchi, Utsushi doesn't say anything or signal any more until you kill them. I was able to run around without him yelling at me after that. Getting to that point of the quest just takes about a minute if you just mash through the tutorials and zip around with the wirebugs

If you hold the ZL for climbing a wall, and then also hold R, you can scale the wall at the cost of stamina rapidly

Not sure if you noticed but if you hold R and any direction after using the wirebug to zip to the wall, you'll keep running on it until you run out of stamina. I was confused as to why my character kept jumping off automatically and eventually I held R and they stayed on.
