Soooo cute! Orange cats have an interesting back story. They're colouring is not a good one for a hunting animal, quite bright in low light and high contrast with green and brown (right Oliver!) so it was a reccesive colour. One of the earliest places that cats agreed to live with people was ancient Eygpt and their primary deity was associated with the sun so orange cats became highly desirable because of their sunny colour. Egyptian cat breeders increased their numbers mightly both for households and, sadly, kitty mummies for offerings. However, this meant we archaeologists could confirm a much higher than natural number of orange kitties! More happily, they also are on many wall painting and papyri

I had a Beautiful Sweet Norwegian Forest cat. He was my Big Big Kitty Boy or Puffy Boy. His coloring was Russian Blue and he was so sweet. I would always say that to look at him you'd think his voice would come out sounding like Barry White, but it was really Mike Tison Ha!! I loved him so much. He's been gone over 10 years now. <3

The new kitten is so adorable! Norwegian Forest & Maine Coons are my favorite types of cats. And the orange ones tend to be so friendly & loving. I was amazed how happy, relaxed & content he looked during the car ride. He might end up with the nickname Prawn. 😸
