The humor, camaraderie, conflicts, bold stances, and engaging dialogues had me captivated. As Joy (Touch and Follow), Pearl skillfully depicted the transformation from a no-nonsense tomboy to a street-smart and empathetic companion. Her performance was outstanding, showcasing one of her best works. As a storyteller, Pearl enhanced the narrative by evoking genuine emotions, profound philosophical reflections, and engaging dialogue. Maurice Sam's commitment to his craft remains undeniable, as seen in his portrayal of Patrick (Pato), a 'chance' encounter with the kind and inspiring Amy led to a transformative journey for Joy and Patrick, catalyzing positive changes in their lives. Fidel's initial aversion to Joy may have seemed unclear, but as the movie unfolded, it became more understandable. The delivery by the cast was exceptional, and the performance by the crew was commendable (though I did catch a small double-take).
