What I wouldn’t do to go back in time and see all of those places during the time that Hollywood was so different than it is today. I loved this vlog!

It is such a shame so many of those historic buildings have been torn down.
  • @hellerjerry
so neat seeing things before they are completely gone and forgotten
  • Thank you, Jordan, for documenting this ever changing, evolving slice of americana. It seems as if we as a culture have devolved and have become degraded. Newer is not always better. California was a beautiful state and a jewel at one time. No more. Very sad.
  • What can I say, your old Hollywood vlogs are my favorites though I enjoy everything you do. We had a great dinner at Musso & Franks last year. Had drinks at The Roosevelt. We also ate at Miceli's which is right around the corner from Hollywood Boulevard, and says it is Hollywood's oldest Italian restaurant and Frank Sinatra's hang out. The original owner's son sat with us for about 10 minutes and told us the history of the place, and said his parents were the ones that taught Lucy how to twirl pizza dough for that famous episode. Yes I was in Hollywood heaven. LOL.
  • Great vlog's Jordan, my girlfriend and I, now wife of thirty years, used to live in an apartment on Sycamore off Hollywood Blvd. down at the west end of the walk of fame. my wife worked at Fredricks of Hollywood as a salesperson, and I worked as a carriager for musicians and bands, moving equipment and setting it up in studios and clubs around LA. We both loved Hollywood, we're originally from San Diego, my work brought me up there so much that I decided to move there in 88', my girlfriend came with me. We loved the nightlife, clubs mostly, but also the great restaurants, we frequented Browns, Snowhite's and Musso and Franks, all as you know on the boulevard. We loved learning about the history of Hollywood from your vlog's, the thing we did not know. We moved back to San Diego in 90', bought a house, got married, had a couple of kids, we do have fond memories of our time in Hollywood, thanks Jordan for the memories.

When I was in Hollywood last, I stayed in the ‘Hillside’, now known as the Hudson Hollywood Apartments. Amazing history.

I would have loved to have seen Hollywood in the 1920's. Thank you so much for the video.

Amazing how many lovely buildings are no longer there. Quite sad.

Thanks for "getting me out of the house" today 😁

Going forward its important to keep in mind a balance of the old and the new. Not about living in the past, but having respect for what came before us. History can teach us so much!

So glad there is still some old Hollywood left! Thanks for the video 🙂💛

It's always cool to see the Chinese Theater ( 4:42) . Mary Poppins debuted there in 1964. 35 years later it tickled me to have a film that I myself worked on "Iron Giant" premier at that same theater in 1999. It makes me smile every time I see the chinese theater, I think back to that day. Thanks for the vlog. Always a treat. :)

Great vlog sounds like lots of construction was going on in the mid 1920’s Beautiful buildings.
  • Dined at Musso and Frank's many times. Some of the stars that were having lunch at the times I was there included Jackie Cooper, Danny Kaye, and Ernest Borgnine. I had to prevent my Mother from pulling a Lucy at our booth. Last current star I saw there was John C Reilly. Thanks for the tour, Great fun!
  • That was awesome, I enjoyed watching the second installment of this! Can you imagine what old Hollywood must have been like back in the day? Thanks Jordan for showing us around.
  • @ggrizz6066
I did this tour in 1966 with my family on vacation. Wow....how different it is today. I feel the same when I go to Las Vegas.....the past is gone!
  • Thank you Jordan. I love anything old Hollywood. Have a wonderful day! 😄
  • I can’t thank you enough Jordan, you show us so many interesting things. Even if we came on vacation, we would never be able to see all that you’ve given us. Nor would we have all the information that you supply with it. We are so grateful! Great job! Also a great shot of Jah!! We never get to see his sweet face!
