As a Muslim, greetings to all Christians! Peace be with all of us!
  • "This John was definitely different from the John who wrote the Gospel of John." I like how you just said that and didn't elaborate on how it'd be kinda hard to write a Gospel with your head removed from your body.
  • I’m a Christian who loves history and archeology. I really enjoy videos like these!! Thank you.
  • I cannot imagine how diligent and persevering you are to complete this genealogy

“How many Marys can be found in the New Testament?” John, Matthew, Mark, and Luke: “yes”
  • @wamazingwall
Even in Swazi culture, we don't have cousins. My paternal uncle's children are my brothers and sisters and my maternal aunt's children are my brothers and sisters also.

This is great! My only criticism is that Mary Magdalene wasn’t the Mary that was the sister of Lazarus and Martha. I know there’s so many Marys that it’s hard to keep track of them, but amazing work anyway!!

Your diligence and scholarship is greatly appreciated. I agree with the idea that each writer of the four Gospels had a particular initial audience in mind, and therefore each have a cohesive concept of contents. (I also believe there is Divine influence to their writings, also.) Thank you.
  • As a Christian, I really appreciate how respectifully and insightfully you explained this. And I do agree with your final comment as our understanding of history is very different from the gospel authors' and people of antiquity. I learned a lot. Thanks so much!

    Merry Christmas, everyone ☃️🎄

Everything you say sounds like everything I have read. This topic is very interesting to me. And you put all the information from the Bible together so well that this is the first time I have seen such a thorough and clear presentation. Thank you!!! I really liked this.

Even tracing my own geneology there are many name variations based soon the person that recorded the names. I’m not surprised at all that biblical names could differ yet be the same.

Things must've been really confusing in the Joachim (Imram) household. "Who broke this jar? Was it you, Mary?" "No, it was Mary."
  • @Didacmmv
Pointing out that James the great is called Santiago in Spanish probably helps connect some dots
  • Wow, I'm truly impressed by the meticulous work put into this Genealogy of Jesus video! The attention to detail and the effort in synthesizing and presenting this wealth of knowledge is commendable. It's not an easy task to trace such a significant lineage, but you've done it beautifully. Thank you for sharing this enlightening piece of history with the audience. Kudos to the team behind this fantastic production!
  • I am so glad I stumbled across your channel, mate. I am learning so much from these charts, and I can certify that they are in fact very, very useful!
  • @brunog3768
I think that a Jew explaining Jesus' family tree on regardless of their beliefs is beautiful. If only everyone (Jewish, Christian or any other religion) had the same respect that you do. Happy holidays Matt!
  • @trenae77
Greatly appreciated your preface, Matt. You've always been a fair judge of the balance between religion and History, and your videos are always enjoyable. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
  • @mysterchr
Fascinating, I enjoyed your takes and your charts look great. Very well put together.
  • @tiger5869
This was very helpful and I appreciate you clarifying when you were stating an opinion and showing respect for the religion.
