The system is broken. The music industry is taking advantage of people who are helping them, little do they know. Rick Beato is introducing people to music they would have never heard of. I'm a Hip Hop guy and I appreciate his musical knowledge and appreciation for so many music genres. This channel is one of the best on YouTube! There has to be something we as fans and students can do!

It’s like someone throwing money in your yard and you report them for littering.
-
This upset me so much. You've done such an amazing job doing these videos, and breaking down the individual parts. You did one for Everybody Wants to Rule the World, and our band started playing it live, because of YOU. That song went right by me back in the day for some reason, but when you broke down the parts, it changed everything for me. These artists should be throwing money at you for bringing their songs to life again with new audiences. Thank you Rick, for enduring this madness all these years, and continuing to provide your absolutely amazing content.
-
We’re on your side, Rick. You’re doing the good work for music, and these bands. If those entities implementing the copyright strike can’t see that they’re pushing towards their own oblivion, then so be it. There are other songs.
-
Having your song featured on "What makes this song great" series should be considered an honor. They should be thanking you for keeping their songs alive. Sad.
-
The whole thing is just so ass backwards. Who in their right mind would have a problem with you sharing their music with your audience for the sole purpose of telling them how great it is? Makes no sense.
-
I see your Cars Episode 99 is back, great work! The Cars are awesome and so is your video. Honestly, it’s just want I needed ;)
-
Kind of stupid they attack you for promoting their music and possibly boosting the sales or downloads of their music for FREE! How weak and pathetic do these ignorant artists and the weak ass record companies that own them have to be not to understand the positive impact you may have on their sales and increase of outreach on their music? This is nothing but SAD!
-
The irony here is Beato is going out of his way to maintain or revive the relevancy of these artists as they strike his channel. They should be sending him letters thanking him.
-
Imagine wanting to take down a video about how great your song is.
-
Although that's a two year old video, but I had really say you kudos for what you do. I mean I'm in my twenties and there's are so many old, classic songs I listened to because of you. I mean in this generation of money and fame, we have to respect a man like you who is fighting for promoting an art. That's really commendable job, my all love and respect to you sir!
-
I literally despise software that rules our lives and content.
-
Never apologize for ranting about this, Rick.
-
I bought most of the Steely Dan records when they came out on vinyl. Rick did a "what makes this song great" on Kid Charlemagne. He talked about parts of the song that I've heard, but he made me hear it in a different way. So what did I do? I ordered the entire remastered CD collection of Steely Dan. Rick deserves a commission, not a strike

Reminds me of an old saying: "Never attribute to malice, that which can better be explained by stupidity." UMG / Cars / WHOEVER is possibly unaware of the potential consequences of what they've done. And YouTube's clueless "3 strikes and you're GONE" policy with no recourse to the accused is ridiculous. But you never know: I can think of 2 great documentaries: Robert Weide's outstanding "Lenny Bruce: Swear to Tell the Truth" and a great 2007 TCM Brando documentary that (other than being "bootlegged" onto YouTube) millions of people will never be able to stream, due to some artist's family's greed over music copyrights and fees.
-
Hey Rick. Don’t give up! People like you make this insane world some what sane. Love your channel!!
-
”We need to keep this music top secret, that’s how we think we can become really rich...”
-
There’s something very wrong when a man like Rick is punished for trying to share his considerable wealth of knowledge. Keep it coming Sir.
-
Rick, I've enjoyed your videos for a long time. I've turned on, my friends & family to them. We all have recognize all the hard work you have put into them. Me selfishly wants you to continue your work. Your doing a great job.
-
You’re absolutely correct. Been saying it for a longtime music is hurting. When you plays classical cover live and the kids talk right through it. May as well just get dunked up and forget it. But as an artist my whole life love the music I grew up playing. And still do. I’ve been an opening act for some great bands and headlined many shows. You’re my fav YouTube channel. You’re a great musician and producer. Keep on going my brother. Don’t let the turn you around. Peace & Love Lynn Brown (73) 9:32
