Assassin's Creed, who is the most evil assassin? In this video we I talk about who I believe the most evil assassin protagonist is in Assassin's Creed. Obviously there's not a lot of evidence and hard facts to go off and I use a lot of personal opinion. However this was a really fun topic to discuss and not one I've really seen for the Assassin's Creed protagonists.

  • "If Ezio is evil, then Jacob is the smartest man alive."🤣🤣 Word.

As much as I love Black Flag, I always hated how Ubisoft changed his character from the trailers to the actual game. They do this with all the protagonists but Edward was the worst case in my opinion. He was portrayed as ruthless, like the devil himself. He even had some of the physical bulk Connor had which makes them feel more related. In the actual game, hes kind of a bumbling fool.

Personally i think Altair is the most evil protagonist. At the beginning of the game he killed an innocent old man and then for his arrogance Malik lost his arm and his brother got killed (which he showed little to no remorse). Also Altair occasionally gave death threats to his team mates if they slightly annoyed him.
  • MasterAssassin: Ezio has done nothing truly evil Meanwhile Ezio: Casually destroyed the port of Constantinople and blew up Cappadocia
  • Ezio in revelations rallied up a crowd to start a riot, getting them killed just to kill his target and then he killed quite a few innocent people in cappadocia by blowing up the gunpowder filling the city with smoke. He wasn't entirely good towards the end, very reckless.
  • In terms of Good and Evil in Assassin’s Creed, obviously we’re taught that the Templars/Order of Ancients are the Evil ones, and the Assassins/Hidden Ones are the Good guys. Rogue is the perfect example of why it’s complicated though. Throughout the games we’ve seen the lore and philosophy of both Templars and Assassins grow more complex with every game. Both want peace but both want it in different ways but each Assassin and Templar also want peace in their own different way. Ezio was more committed to saving the downtrodden and the populace that were actually worse off. Altair was completely devoted to keeping the Brotherhood alive. Connor was all about making sure that Natives weren’t discriminated against. Edward was realistically more about job equality. Bayek was more about stopping individuals from having absolute power. Each Assassin had their own individual opinions and philosophies that evolved and grew throughout the series due to their own individual experiences. Haytham, Son of Legendary Assassin Edward Kenway, was essentially raised by a man who never took no for an answer, and spent his 20’s pillaging, robbing and murdering anyone he came across. To Haytham this was power and through that, Peace. Shay wasnt evil in the slightest honestly, he only wanted to stop the Assassins from making the same mistake again, potentially saving hundreds of thousands of lives. Majority of the Templars/Order of the Ancients, believed that peace came from taking the free will away from mankind, which in all honesty, would have achieved the same peace as the Assassins. The only difference being who decides who gets that peace and who doesn’t. None of the Assassins are inherently evil, but the Majority of the Templars aren’t either. Thanks for reading my fat ass rant.
  • U should do a who's the best equiped assassin, like ranking the gear they use
  • Basically it comes down to a young Edward and a young Altair.. considering in their older age they both have learned... So I guess it would be the pirate rather than the brash arrogant soldier
  • @HP_594
Not a protagonist, but I would definitely say Abbas was somewhat of an evil Assassin Sure, it was mostly due to the trauma attached to his father’s death But everything he did, after he became leader, was downright cruel The execution of Sef and Maria’s murder being the notable ones
  • @tobluetoblack
I love how you present the idea of Connor being the assassin that everyone says it's not a matter of if he gets to you it's a matter of when he gets to you
  • If you haven’t done it already you should do a list comparing the Assassins by how well they actually follow their Creed, who broke the most tenants etc
  • @Nice_Boat
As an origins fan I can certainly vouch for Bayek being the kindest assassin ever...from playing the entire main story, side quests and all the dlc. He suffered a lot...He fought for what he lost, sacrificed himself for strangers and even after his lover left him...he still stayed strong to fight for people...now that's next level kind.
  • I did not see the ending as Edward being the most evil assassin. I really thought it'd be Altaïr....
  • @2011carp
You should definitely do a "Who's the most Noble Templar " or Templar who went to achieve his goal in the least evil or corrupt path.
  • Altair also used the Apple of Eden on civilians in AC Bloodlines. Also Aya's assassination of Julius Caesar was just wreckless.
  • @Eight155th
Altair master before he overthrew him was the most evil assassin. When you play the first one, listen to the convos they had, including the ones in the Ezio trilogy
  • @voldren4203
Please make a video on "Who's the most toughest assassin?"meaning who can survive in most situations, harder to kill and can evade most dangers etc.
  • Idk if Eivor counts as an Assassin, but he quite literally imvades a foreing nation, kills the ones who try to defend their homeland, burns and pillages villages and monasteries too. Im about 20 hours in in Valhalla idk if he gets better or worse but I do know that he also besieges the city of Paris lol.
  • @spikestone11
Not a protagonist but Achilles’ willingness to repeatedly destroy cities in Rogue gives me the idea that he might be one of the most evil assassin Ubisoft has made
  • I’m pretty sure that when you choose “repair ship” after a successful boarding in ac4, you straight up execute the survivors. Pretty sure.
