  • Good morning Jules, the weather looks really nice in your garden.
  • Haven't got hold of Lemon Balm yet. Good to know its behaviour in the garden. After the rains, we have more mosquitoes, will be good to use it

Always been a fan of aggressive growing plants, from ivy to mints. I have alot of varieties of mint just growing around my flowerbed to the point it's managed to grow under the porch and I see trying to grow out into the grass after only threes years of growth. I actually love it bc I dont have to worry about damaging the plant and I frequently replant cuttings to spots it hasnt filled out. Been wanting to try my hand on lemon balm for exactly that same reason. I'm not sure yet if I want it in the same flower bed bc I don't know if they will play nice, but I definitely have another spot along the side of the house where nothing else grows. Not much else can grow there and I would be happier to have something that spreads out than something I need to manually fill in over time
  • Never had lemon balm. With the snell of lemons, i can see using that on chickenas you suggested. Chocolate mint is really nice. Strong smells of candy canes and makes a really nice tea. I need to pick some up this year.

I grow all mints and lemon balm in tire planters to contain it. I really like lemon balm. Your plants look lovely. I'm still getting snow off and on but I am putting stuff in the greenhouse. Good to see you. Many blessings!

It looks fantastic! I'm currently growing mine in a ginormous pot. I have some in an inground bed. It has also sprung up on the lawn, lol. My favorite use is lemon balm in hot tea. I pack it full.
  • Good Morning Jamie! I love lemon balm. I have been growing in mineral tubs, it seemed and spilled over and I have been digging it up and making more tubs with it. This is such an awesome herb. It does need a monster area. I am thinking about a huge raised bed for it? I love it. Happy Spring! Have a great weekend! Wendy🙏🏻🇺🇸
