I'm not sure why folk seem upset with the title. I, for one, often think that my images are crap until I sit on them for a while. And yes I often think about quitting photography. The only reason that I can see that folk are upset is that they came here to watch someone crash and burn; pretty sad, really. If you would like to complain, be sure to leave a comment here.
  • Thanks for sharing the real process of selecting and prioritizing images. This is quite encouraging to see that even a photographer of your caliber does not get 100% of perfect images, but most importantly, we can get a peek behind the curtain and see how the masterpieces are born. Looking forward to your next video with the tips on how you would approach processing them based on the specifics of each image and your vision. Thanks again for sharing.

I agree Adam! Sometimes it takes me a couple years to process an image! Sometimes I don’t know where I want to take an image or my processing skills are lacking the ability to figure out how to get my image where I want to take it! Great video!

Sir, I have not seen your video yet, but will say this: the more I see of AI generated images, the more I respect anyone who does not use it. Keep on keepin on.
  • @Chromatomic
Very relatable honestly. I'm not one to have a single composition that I can sit on until the light is just right. I need options. I've sat on images for weeks or months before deciding if I like it or how I want to process it. My perspective being that I might be better with curation than composition. Anyway, watching this while I edit a photo from 2 years ago.

wonderful work as always and I'll look forward to the followup video. the rock formations close up are amazing.
  • Thanks so much for this video! Looking over your shoulders in your process of thinking about the images is very helpfull also for me. Sea scapes tend to be a bit complex for me, giving all that elements (rocks, water, movement, clouds, light, seastacks, sand) a god place in the image where they all work together. Also post processing is quite stressfull for me these days, because my skills can't keep up with what I have in mind. So I am looking forward to how you work on a few of your images that need a bit more touching 🙏

It was really interesting to see you sort through and review an entire trip series. I always like seeing comparisons of multiple shots and not just before and after processing of one shot, though that will be great to see in the next video. Looking at multiple shots helps to learn about all aspects of photography but especially composition I think. The rock formations could make a gallery exhibit just by themselves! Gorgeous. And even if they don't go in a gallery, the memories and joy you get from them are priceless! Great workshop for the lucky participants!!

Always pleased to see a new video from Adam
  • @wallyjones2826
Thank you, Adam, for putting this thoughtful post together. It helps immensely as I continue to fine tune the processing effort. Now, if I can just the hang of taking a decent photograph. :)

Greetings Adam from Perth Australia… thanks for sharing your work flow process.. and as always you are very honest and very humble . You are quite hard on yourself but most will see your final images as excellent . I personally love your woodland photography and your drone footage is top class.. 👌🏻. Thanks for taking the time for this episode . Stay well and look forward to your next one !
  • @hilarywhite0
Great video as always. I look forwards to your next instalment.

It's great that we can share your thoughts. Fantastically beautiful pictures! I'm already looking forward to the next video. 👍
  • @furbs9999
And this is why you are the best youtube landscape photographer. Always happy to show the other side of the process. The rough as well as the great.
  • @NathanGPhotos
Really enjoyed this Adam! It’s very insightful to hear and see your thought process as you go through the images.
  • @jongrall
Interesting to see your thought process, Adam. Also, I love the title of this one! 🤣
  • @WayneThePoet
The photo at 21:26 - rocks in blue-gray and orange is excellent, my favorite of the entire set. The shapes, the light, the color makes for an amazing composition.
  • @warrenlloyd7532
Interesting video Adam. It's always encouraging to see that great photographers don't always get it right in the field, and from my own perspective, I think my thought processes aren't too far removed from how you go about your work. Looking forward to the next video!
