David Wilkerson - Why is it So Hard for Christians to Pray?

Thank you for posting this video. I don't spend nearly as much time alone with the Lord as I should. I make excuses that I'm always with Him in the Spirit, and I feel like I often really am, but that doesn't compensate for not spending time with Him alone in His presence. I thank God that He's been so patient with me.

I needed this. I have been so lukewarm in prayer and just in my walk I need to turn back to you lord.

I live in a nursing home due to breaking my neck while drunk nearly seven years ago. It's a shame that that is what it took to get saved. I have nothing but time on my hands to spend with God but still don't pray enough. I spend a lot of time doing everything but pray. Please forgive me LORD for not spending enough time with You and help me to pray more and to love You more. Thank You for letting me find this message. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

God is the ONLY One who can get us out of this mess.

I sincerely needed this today. I have gotten so caught up in life and I make excuses and know that I need to spend time with HIM. I repent of that and long to spend my alone time with HIM. I want to know HIM daily and to be told “well done good and faithful servant.”

I repent Lord for not spending time with you, and for getting frustrated when I don't see you move. I love you and I ask you to forgive for not coming to you and spend that intimate time with you. Help me to change that oh Lord I pray.

Lost for words Lord, teach me to pray, pray, pray. I failed you so badly after all your love and mercy towards me. Thank you for reassuring me that you will never leave me or forsake me after neglecting you so badly. Teach me to love to pray always. Amen.

This is a wake up call.I always pray to enable me to be close with the Lord through prayer but find myself pray morning during breakfast,lunchtime ,dinner and before sleep. Need more time to pray as I do other things.God help me

The more you talk with the Lord the more you'll want to talk with him But the less you speak to him the less you'll want to speak with him. Let's pray all the time 🙏 L

I very much appreciate brother Wilkerson's challenging message, however for me the answer to always being in prayer is a Thankful ❤ heart and a moment by moment relationship with the lover of my soul, my Savior and redeemer Lord Jesus Christ!

A timely reminder of the importance and necessity for regular prayers.

I found it hard to pray even for 5 minutes until I learnt recently that it is the Holy Spirit who teach & guide us to pray. I say the Lord's prayer first. Then I thank God 3 in 1, the Father for sending Jesus, Jesus for dying for me and the HS for teaching me. I then pray in tongues and once I feel His presence come upon me, I will automatically stop and wait in quietness & reverance. Different things can happen after a while, I will praise Him further, a song may play over and over in my mind, ppl with needs will spring up into my mind etc. I just go with the flow. After about 45 m (easily), I pray for my family and myself. Before I know it, it is about an hour. I am so grateful to ppl who point out I need the HS' help. Thank you, dear Holy Spirit ❤
