The highest earning person on YouTube isn't even old enough to make a YouTube account.
-
eddy's dad energy is so strong he's already protecting his non-existent kids

You know, one of the main reasons Mr. Rogers started Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood and testified for funding for the PBS was because he genuinely cared about what children were seeing on TV. Because of him, an entire generation was taught extremely valuable lessons through a show that was both entertaining to and respectful to children. He knew that kids aren't dumb, they just don't have the experience that the rest of us do, so he implemented that heavily into his show. I think right now we need another person like Mr. Rogers on TV.

There's almost no way Ryan grows up socialized well. He has a full time career as a child and makes more then a thousand adults combined. It makes me think of the Olsen twins and then when they just kinda left show biz they still got harassed and called weird just for living their lives how they want, and as kids they were like saying they had no time. Its just sad to me
-
"He probably just wanted to make a few videos with his parents" damn that line just hit different
-
i hate how they're using the word "franchise" to talk about real human beings
-
What's going to happen when Ryan is 13 and doesn't want to play with toys anymore... They are practically ruining this boy's childhood. At this age he should be going outside and making friends, not making content for toddlers.
-
My kids use to watch Ryan's Toys and boy did it turn them into greedy and whiney kids. We would go to the store and they would see the toys from the show and throw an absolute fit when told no. We quit letting them watch it and within a few weeks that completely stopped. It was insane how much that one channel changed their attitude. It's sickening
-
Ryan’s life gives me “Truman Show” vibes and I’m real worried about that poor kid
-
PSA to all parents that didn’t know, PBS has a kids app, the content is both good and recent, and it was made possible by viewers like you.
-
I remember running out of the room where my sister and I were watching Saturday morning cartoons because an ad said to “tell your parents to buy etc etc” and kids are just so damn literal. My Mom explained that I don’t have to do that, but it paints the moral that adorns the tale as it were.
-
It’s insane to me how society never learns the dangers of exploiting children for entertainment and the story continues to happen. It happened with the Olsen twins, we’re watching it unfold with jojo siwa, and Ryan is that exact story waiting to happen
-
I feel so bad for Mr. Rogers. He would be so sad to see the state of childrens entertainment.
-
“I played with toys way too long till like 10 or 11” sweats knowing I was creating stories with legos till an easy 13
-
"The main Avenger is paying for the exploitation of a child. I don't remember that in Iron Man!" thats because it didnt happen until spider-man homecoming
-
They need to stop targeting advertising to kids. It's so messed up. Update: Just saw the part about them making kids Youtubers into global franchises. Super gross and exploitative and should be illegal to use kids that way.
-
Imagine being the under payed voice actor trying desperately to break into the industry that has to sit in a booth and talk about Carls Jr. in a cartoon snake voice all day
-
Imagine if in Adventure Time, Finn and jake just said,”Hey, let’s go to McDonalds! Their burgers are so good. They are the best. Buy them now.”
-
I don't know why but it really hit me when Eddy said that all Ryan wanted to do was make a few videos with his mom and dad. Really sad they used that excitement to fuel a company
