The picture of the lady in the smokehouse cutting a piece of meat reminds me of my Mammy Belcher; she would get a piece of side meat too cook for supper to stretch the leftovers. Such good memories .❤❤

Even though we all live in different places around the world, we still chop wood the same, build a fire the same, rake leaves 🍂 and we cook the same. We may speak different languages but we are still all the same. Thank you for sharing. God Bless you all. I look forward to more videos like this ♥️ Maine,USA

I adore that curious kitten. ❤

I love watching your videos! Please give us the option for translation to other languages. This beautiful family may be isolated however, they appear to have everything they need. They are fed, healthy and happy. Looking forward to watching many more of your videos! Much love and many blessings from Tennessee, USA

Greetings from the state of Georgia USA! My grandparents had a farm, grew vegetables, cattle, pigs, chickens. I learned to care for the animals, preserve fruits, vegetablez, other foods and make butter, etc! Best years of my life!

Around min. 17, the man says something like "In these places, whoever puts in the work won't be poor". As a Romanian, it's what I noticed in several such villages. It's hard work, but the only people who are poor are those who have a drinking problem - the exception to that is those who have a severe health issue and no family. Most people, though, produce most of their food, they can build their own houses or find neighbours who know hot to if necessary, and they can either sell/exchange extra produce, or find something to do for their better off neighbors. But the work is pretty hard and daily - animals, for instance, don't take weekends off from feeding.

I subscribed to your channel, because I love seeing how other cultures live. I really like watching them cook because they eat totally different than we do in the US. I would love to try their food. Grandma sure gets around very well for being 85.
