Samuel Beckett once said, “Every word is like an unnecessary stain on silence and nothingness”...on the other hand, he SAID it.

"The war ain't over, look at all these Nazis running around" is one of my favourite lines in the series
  • @Spaghetter813
If I may add, Blaskowicz is not just a "mixed" jew, he is also slavic, thus making him part of another group considered inferior by the Nazis.

Calling killing Nazis "ethical removal of fascism" is incredibly based
  • The intersting thing is that while BJ quite ironically fits the Aryan stereotype,he also fits into the Golem aka The Jewish Savior archetype as well which hits close to home considering BJ's origins.
  • @sophiemason8444
The fact that these games feature literal Nazis and BJ's dad is by far the most repulsive character in the series says a lot about him.
  • "When the horrors of nazi Germany was revealed to Americans after the war, most people around me said Hitler didn't do enough."
    -my maternal Grandma
  • “I can tell that you aren’t impure because you didn’t reach for the gun”

My sister in Christ, you reached for the gun.

I accidentally started this video while in the living room with my family and everyone just stared at me as "The Jews in Germany--" rang out at full volume.

"The war ain't over, look at all these nazis walkin' around!" Is one of my all time favorite lines.
  • @coldgal8476
    The fact that B.J.
    -Hates nazis
    And
    -Actively chooses to kill nazis
    Are really admirable traits.

When your so mad you turn from a vegetable into a weapon
  • @ThePredator188
One of my favorite moments in the new order was how BJ was literally roused from his comatose state by the scent of Nazi blood
  • BJ reminds me a lot of captain America after this, Steve Rogers was a strong, confident soldier with blue eyes and blond hair, created by two Jewish comic creators who debuted by literally punching Hitler in the face during a period where Americans were pretty content to not join in open conflict against the Nazis. Just another fun case of taking their dream and literally using it to punch them in the face.

My dear good jewish brother.. as a muslim, I am deeply thankful for the entirety of this video. Not just because I love the Wolfenstein series, and not only because you write so fucking well. But also because of that genuinely thoughtful bit you added there at the end alongside the credits. What an incredible human being you sir are.

"...these backwater americans who can't even say dankey shane correctly.... "

That is how I died. Tell my family.

"They tried to kill us. We survived. Let's eat."

9:35 There's something about calling the worst monsters in human history something as petty as "losers" that just makes me giggle. If you had said "Fascism is a losing ideology" my face would have been straight as it was for the rest of the video. Unless that was intentional, it seems like an odd word choice.
  • I have never played this video game and probably never will, given I'm not a gamer. But I've come back and watched this essay at least four times now; it's one of my favourites on the internet. The phrase "fascism is a loser ideology" has been a serious comfort for the past year or so, and I greatly appreciate you sharing your perspective. Thank you for your great work, Jacob.
