I figured that Mirabel never got a special ability of her own because she functioned as the heart of the family, and brought out the best in them all. Giving her a power would have been redundant.

The live action version of Beauty and the Beast specifically stated that the spell did include amnesia for the villagers, so I guess the same rules apply in the animated version too. Regarding why Urusla hates King Triton's guts, in a deleted extended version of "Fathoms Below' (animated version) , a sailor tells Eric that yes, Ursula and Triton are indeed siblings, and that she did try to usurp the throne from her brother, so hence her exile. Apparently there is a novel that delves into Ursula's origins even further, including the fact that she had other siblings that she killed off to try squirm her way to the top. Cinderella’s glass slippers weren’t supposed to change to anything. Her fairy godmother let them stay glass slippers as a memento for Cinderella of that special night.

I stand by that Mirabel wiped the magic off on herself before touching the door knob. Thus making the miracle herself. She’s extremely talented in sewing, singing, musical interments, and emotional intelligence. She can heal the broken emotional bonds within her family bc her gift got internalized. And since everyone else had external gifts, or gifts that helped outward problems, everyone else was blind to the internal talents and gifts. When she succeeded in healing her family and the candle was made new , she got another chance at a door. And since it was putting a knob in a frame, she didn’t have the chance to do anything else. So her magic went into the house, revitalizing everyone’s gifts.

Technically the wish did work. Aladdin married Princess Jasmine, which made him officially a prince. Genie went the long way to grant the wish. My theory is that when Aladdin wished to be prince, Genie knew the only way to do that is for Aladdin to marry a princess but there was no way for Aladdin to get even close to Jasmine if he stayed the way he was, so Genie made Aladdin into Prince Ali to fool the kingdom, get into the castle, and to get to Jasmine.

Sometimes friends start off well, but can drift apart as their goals and experiences influence change in their lives. It just took a lot longer.. Genie couldn't just make up a whole new kingdom.. So instead he gave him the means to win Jasmine's heart and THAT is how Aladdin became a prince.. By marrying Jasmine

I think the reason why the wish didn't make aladdin a literal prince of some country is because the wish is superficial. Some wishes like Aladdin are rescued from drowning or freeing the genie go beyond. whereas wishing to be a prince can change how you look on the outside as well as how you're perceived, but the social status doesn't change.

Ursula was King Triton's sister and heir to the throne.

Mirabel has abuela's connection to the house. She's the only one that interacts with the house the way Abeula does. She doesn't get a room because the house is hers. I thought that was obvious.
