This movie trilogy has got to be the only trilogy in history to use the same actor for the main villains in each movie. I'm impressed
-
Thomas Wilson does not get nearly enough credit for these movies. He plays like 7 different versions of himself. Edit: 7 different versions of Biff Tannen.
-
This scene also mirrors how Marty watched Doc get shot and then was surprised when he got up and revealed a bulletproof vest in the first movie
-
I love how Doc gets that "Great Scott!" look on his face when Tannen lands in the manure and you can just tell that he's considering the odds of manure being involved a third time and pondering if there's some deep relationship in physics that links Tannen and manure
-
"You should have gone for the head”- Marty
-
Marty: I guess you aren't ready for that manure, but your kids are gonna love it
-
I mean, it's still impressive how he aimed directly at the heart.
-
This is easily one of the best comeuppance scenes ever, the bad guy get outsmarted, beaten, thrown into a pile of literal shit and arrested while the whole town watches.
-
I love how the same “punch” shot is used here as it was in the first when George punches Biff - he spins around, dazed lol.
-
The Tannen family has been hating manures for hundreds of years
-
Thomas F Wilson is utterly BRILLIANT in the trilogy - the archetypal bully and all-round bad guy.
-
I love how he does the little dance dangling his revolver after shooting Marty and expects an applause, like dude you just shot a sixteen year old.
-
The bulletproof vest is foreshadowed in Pt. 2 when 1985 rich Biff is watching a Clint Eastwood movie.
-
Love how the gravestone reads 'Here Lies' as Tannen rolls flat on to it.
-
This is the first time Marty beats the shit out of his nemesis in time, outsmarting him and facing him in every way including a final man's fight. He protected his friend risking his own life, not for being called a coward, but for a greater good, with a trick he knew it works. That's the path of the hero, and a beautiful subtle message for everybody.
-
1:30 I always loved how he was cheering himself on like he done something amazing
-
Tom Wilson deserved a lot more recognition than what he received
-
I like that even Mad Dog friends didn't like that he killed unarmed kid 1:23
-
I can’t believe the camera man waited from 1885 to 2015 to film this franchise, such dedication
-
the most overlooked bit of this scene is Doc looking from shocked to just sheer fury at Marty being shot. He would fucking kill Bufford given half a chance.
