This is me testing and trying my old JVC HR-D120EK and comparing it with my JVC HR-D120U to see it's differences with The Wizard Of Oz UK Pal tape and Explorers US NTSC tape.

    My family's first VCR - bought February 1985. Whether or not it stops when the counter reaches 0000 depends on whether or not the counter memory switch is depressed.

    That appears to be an HR-D110EG though, not a 120EK. I have a 110EG in dark gray finish. Mine has German writing all over the front panel, including the tape transport controls like "WIEDERGABE" instead of "PLAY".
