Brains Explains an Adventure at the END OF THE ROAD (Mini-Album Edit with NEW FOOTAGE)

Published 2023-10-14
In our last video celebrating Thunderbirds' latest anniversary we present the mini-album version of End of the Road. In this specially prepared edit with newly filmed material, Brains (David Graham) recounts the story of how International Rescue saved the life of Eddie Houseman and other construction workers caught in a potentially explosive situation.

During the 1960s, the soundtracks of select episodes of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's Thunderbirds were abbreviated and then supplemented with new in-character narration for release on a series of vinyl mini-albums. In recent years, new visuals were created by members of our team in order to reintroduce puppets and Derek Meddings' amazing practical special effects to bring this shortened, but no less exciting, version of the episode to life. What differences can you spot?

Join Brains, and other Supermarionation favourites for "End of the Road".

About Us:

About Me:
Century 21 Films Ltd is a multi-faceted production company whose work spans drama to documentary, miniature effects to puppet shows. It was founded by a group of filmmakers who first collaborated on Filmed in Supermarionation, the story of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's hit puppet shows including Thunderbirds, Stingray and Captain Scarlet.

Since then, we have worked for a multitude of high-profile clients including ITV, BBC, Mammoth Productions, British Film Institute and the Halifax working on projects such Thunderbirds, Endeavour, Doctor Who and The Twilight Zone.

In addition to our regular filmmaking services, we specialise in ‘Supermarionation’ - the puppetry filming technique used to make shows like Thunderbirds and have collaborated with ITV repeatedly to provide specialised services. Our work has been featured on The One Show, This Morning, Good Morning Britain, BBC News, ITV News and Mastermind.

This was the very first Thunderbirds episode I watched. And it's still one of my favourite episodes to this day.

10/10 for the FAB Century 21 Films Team for another glorious adaption with genius little visual additions. 0/10 for YouTube for deciding to show me TEN ads in a 25 minute video.

I love watching these again. Also 'End of the Road' is one of those episodes that really bring me back to my childhood, when I used to watch them with my grandparents. And its also a treat to hear the gifted David Graham (aka Brains) telling the story. Thank you so very much, Century 21 Films☺❤.

When I was a kid this was the best TV ever.
  • Now that was one impressive Mini-Album edit of "The End Of The Road" episode if you ask me, even though this was your last video to celebrate the "Thunderbirds" latest anniversary 😏😉👍

4:56 - 5:05, John was advised to use the secret communications channel in the event of a rescue operation call when visitors were on the island. So, that explains how John was able to make the emergency call in "Edge Of Impact" whilst Colonel Tim Casey was visiting Tracy Island.
