And here I am (a foreigner) just marveling at my own white spiced vinegar... And he said that if you put onions inside it has a shorter shelf life... And my vinegar bottle that has been asking for 2 years...

It reminds me back home .Sinamak is my favourite as it comes from Visayas so it’s good to hear . Definitely will try to follow your example as I forgot how to do it and didn’t realise how easy it is . 👍
