David Ryan Harris plays 'Yesterday Shutting Down' with his phenom of a band, featuring Jacob Luttrell on keys and vocals, Isaiah Sharkey on Electric Guitar, Terence Clark on Drums, Sean Hurley on Bass, Nikki Flores, Tiffany Palmer, and Carlos Ricketts on BGVs, Rashawn Ross on Trumpet, Bob Reynolds on Saxophone (AKA the B*itch Whistle), and featuring special guest John Mayer on Electric Guitar. This closed out night two of David's shows at the Hotel Cafe on 2/4/2020.

The video skips right after Mayer's solo because my camera only records 15 minute videos and I didn't want it to cut off at a more important point. :)

great work with the camera man. felt like you did a good job following the energy in the room, showing the whole group when the jam was reaching across everyone and showing the artist him/herself when it was majorly them bringing it. thanks for this great watch. this video has been on repeat since early morning and ill be riding this high for a bit longer. shoobadoobap.

I like how John is just casually in the back like a broke college freelancer that no one cares about but is secretly amazing.

To those who asks, "Why go to a concert and hold your phone up the whole time?" It's for the people like me, who live 3,000 miles away and would never get to watch this performance without the person filming it. I've watched this video every day for 10 days now. Thanks to the uploader.

John pays his bills with pop music, but this is where his heart is!

This drummer is the unsung hero. His dynamics are spot on and he follows everything like a hawk. Gotta love it when you literally don’t have a weak link on the stage! Beautiful musical moments
  • Best moments compilation: 13:17 ("You want?" "Yeah!" - followed by great e-piano solo doubled by voice) 16:10 (Sharkey outperforming everybody with his lick at 16:15) 16:18 (Sharkeys resolution of the lick before) For all the Mayer fanatics: 6:36 (Johns reaction to Sharkeys great lick) 11:42 (Johns pickup switch at hyper speed) 12:59 (again Johns reaction to Sharkeys lick) 15:14 (John being "high on music")

Possibly the highest level of talent per square foot ever assembled

I love how John never steals someone else's thunder.

Did I just witness the greatest jam session that's ever taken place?

As a drummer I can say that this is one of the tightest, thumpiest, and most self controlled drummer I’ve ever seen. As a drummer I know how excruciatingly hard it is to not just EAT in a groove like that. And as a guitarist I know how valuable a drummer like that is! Absolute hats off to every last one of them up there! Brav-fucking-o
  • dude that sax solo FUCKS jesus that man absolutely went the fuck off probably the most rock n roll shit ever he is a titan of sax
