Resident Evil 2 | What the Original Did Better - Critical Nobody

I am harshly criticizing Resident Evil 2 on the internet. I'm gonna get CRUCIFIED!...or not. Who knows? Anyways, I hope you enjoyed listening to my opinion about a game that I like. Consider commenting, rating and sharing! <3

Oh boy, you're really NOT going to like RE3's remake.

the biggest sin is the lack of B scenarios.

Thank you for bringing up the A and B campaigns. Everyone swore it was like a whole new game which drove me crazy because it was EXACTLY the same except for a couple very minor details.

My biggest problem with this remake was the huge plot inconsistencies between scenario A and B and the character changes

Dude isn't lying... he really didn't say anything that was really "hating". As a longtime RE fan I pretty much agreed with everything he said.

The absence of the AB scenario definitely was a big negative for me too. I was actually pretty pissed.

It seems they focused more on surface level elements of RE2 without looking to the deeper details of the game's charm.

i totally agree with the scenario B ...that was disappointed.the only difference is the first 30 minutes

I think the issues of Leon's portrayal in this game stem from the fact that each team that works on Resident Evil always wants to do something different with him and can't seem to pick one and stick with it. Leon's the most inconsistently written protagonist in the whole series. Hell, even the artists can't seem to stick with a consistent hair color for him. Whether he's brunette, blond, or ginger depends entirely on the incarnation in question. Claire's cursing in this game is nothing compared to Moira in Revelations 2. Now THAT was tryhard.

Claire is actually the one I have the issue with over the two because in this game, she's nothing more than a college student, yet she goes full rambo against Birkin when in the original, she was actually scared and didn't have a choice.

While I don't agree with some of the topics you had brought up, I don't think you deserve the amount of dislikes you're getting. I feel like you explained your criticisms well enough to warrant a well understanding of where you're coming from. Some love it and some hate it and that's ok, everyone. It's good to criticize once in a while. We now have two Resident Evil 2's so everyone wins here.
