So it turns out Mike Paly is actually a dude in Florida who had his identity stolen 10 years ago. He reached out to me with the original photos the scammers stole for the campaign, so sorry for dunking on you Mike. Please don't go looking for his socials and please don't harass him, the real Mike Paly is just another victim of the scam.
  • @SeanHodgins
This can't be the first time someone has stolen one of your ideas to sell.
  • @Meow_YT
That's the first lightsaber I've seen with a "must be drunk to operate" safety warning.
  • A cancer causing flame hazard scam that stole someone's identity with hundreds of backers. WOW! The person who did this is like straight up a super villian! I'm honestly just glad you saw this and knew the dangers so hopefully anyone else who comes across it will see this video first.

"William Osman" and "Safety Inspector" were not two things I expected to hear together
  • @memeoverlord73
When you get two youtube "meme" scientists giving you a safety warning, you know you are not messing around

5:57 So one guy works on the Battlebots show, and the other guy MADE this lightsaber design, and both of them are still perplexed by what came out of the box, lol.
  • It’s so awesome that you team up with Nile red/blue, absolutely love his stuff. It seems like your friendship has lasted a long time. Whatever content you come up with is awesome!
  • @JoelCreates
Imitation is the highest form of flattery...turns out that guy is really bad at flattery
  • That's super messed up. At least they could have gone the safer route and start a campaign for your Lead Hulk fists but sending aluminum ones.
  • @BrianMusic12
You might be the funniest channel on yt. The fact that you have such deep engineering and tech knowledge and that you use it for impractical but awesome stuff is hilarious and awesome. AP forever
  • With recent events, I’m now extremely disappointed by the lack lightsabers deployed by the Ukrainian army.
  • @greatnate3816
It makes me very mad to think that people can have the audacity to do something that terrible.

"In this video,I gave myself cancer"
  • @HeffeJeffe78
I'm going to start a Kickstart campaign and sell Allen's crazy laugh without his permission.
  • @Volcarion
When William Osman is describing how unbelievably dangerous a device is, and is genuinely afraid, we've hit a whole new level of hazard

I remember watching your video back in 2015. I was going to try to build one, too. But I was NOT going to claim it was my own invention and try to scam people out of money for it.
  • Every successful inventor knows... If you have an invention you have to do a few things in this order... 1. Keep your creation a secret. 2. Call a lawyer. 3. Get patent, trademark, copyright (which ever the lawyer says is required.) 4. Show the world what you made.
