  • One of those movies you just stop to watch whenever it's on randomly
  • The genius of the movie is overwhelmingly owed to Scorsese and Pileggi. The real people were sickening pieces of garbage even compared to their movie counterparts.
  • I could listen to Bill talk Goodfellas all day lol. Someone who’s in the business, knows how the sausage gets made, and still has such reverence for it is so infectious.

I d9nt think I've ever heard anyone speak more passionately about a film than Bill Burr speaking on Good fellas. Wow. Infectious. Imma have to go home and watch it for probably the fifth time in my life.

I think I love the movie so much because Scorcese knew the source material so well he grew up with people like that in his neighbourhood it’s a very authentic movie.
  • Phasers On Stun: Saw Goodfellas in a theater. When Henry dumps the cocaine in the toilet, I could hear people in the audience say, "Aww ... " The movie was so good when I left the theater the inner yak inside my head was silent for the next five minutes. Classic blown mind.

Goodfellas is one of those movies you just pick and let play. No matter how many times you've already seen it, something new will come to light on the next viewing. Timeless and classic.

They show that clip to say "He's gonna sing like a bird" slang for ratting everyone our.
  • Bar scene in Mean Streets is red (represents their personal hell)

Johnny Roast Beef was also in State of Grace. 1990 was a good year for him.

I’ll literally never be tired of watching Goodfellas

I love Bill's take on Goodfellas. That is the exact way I feel about this movie as well. And for the exact same reasons

First time I saw it was at my local cinema with my best mate, I was 21 and it had just come out and we couldn’t believe it, it felt like we were in Jimmy’s crew. I bought the screenplay, then the Pileggi book, I couldn’t get enough of it, talking about it and quoting the lines from it, that’s why I had to have the screenplay. Last time I saw it, it just came on last summer and we were all there and time fell away. I completely agree, no other film is so consistently brilliant and addictive to watch, a series of one amazing sketches after another. Don’t even get me started on the music.

Bill Burr and Louis CK both KNOW films.

Dang, watched it a couple months ago and now I’m gonna have to dust off the Blu-ray again. This is a nicely produced compilation, great job!

The shot when ‘Ray Liotta’ closes the truck towards the middle, the color red shows up on screen and you can hear a sound effect of something being cooked. It almost suggests the heat that would come down on him later on in the movie.

One of those movies you wish you could erase from your memory so you could have that first time experience again and again
