Kendrick Lamar is one of my favorite rappers of all time. After listening to his albums countless times, I began to see some common themes in his music that I slowly pieced together to be a full storyline. Since I've never heard this discussed before, I thought I'd start the conversation with this video.

It's honestly pretty surreal to me that I'm even able to bring this video to you all because this started as just a personal theory I had going as far back as early 2018. In a way, this video has been nearly 5 years in the making, so to see this reach its conclusion all this time later is so satisfying to me.

If you enjoyed the video and want to see more like it, the best way to let me know is by leaving a like. I'd also love to hear your thoughts on this topic in the comment section below. Let me know if you agree with my analysis, disagree, or if I missed anything! Finally, if you haven't already, please consider subscribing to the channel. I got a lot more big video ideas on the way, so you're gonna want to stick around to see them! Thank you so much for watching!

Bear with me for the lower mic quality on this vid. For some reason my audio got corrupted at the very end of editing 😑 Rerecording would've meant resyncing all the edits and that was a bit much to take on when the video was already done lol. Anyway, things will be back to normal for next vid 👍🏾 Edit: Tupac isn't from Compton lol. Misspoke there and meant to say that he gave back to his community

When you said we won't get another Kendrick album for a long time, I felt that... Guy has been awesome since the first time I stumbled upon his music. Whatever he may chose to do for the rest of his life, we all can only be thankful that he had this in him, and didn't leave us without telling.

This is the push I needed to listen to the albums in order and all the way through

Section 80 and untitled unmastered is SO overlooked especially untitled it’s low key his best album and has a lot to do with the overall story imo

“I’m an Israelite; don’t call me black no more. That word is only a color; it ain’t facts no more.”

Man you really introduced deep meaning to the discography I appreciate the effort. Keep up the good work
  • Brother. How do you only have 321 subs?? This was such a good take on my favorite artist of all time. Thank you. Make it 322

Im a huge kendrick fan and I found this video very satisfying. Good job.
  • @3:38 - That woman is Angela Davis. Unclear if she's voicing a character, or if it's simply a recording of her, but I think it's the latter. It seemed to me like her contribution was something worth knowing, when it comes to the story of Kendrick and the story of that album.
  • i think it goes a lot deeper, ie Lucy in “for sale”. kendrick says to Lucy “you spit a little rap to me like this when I turned 26, i was like oh shit”, saying that at a certain point, the words themselves shifted at a point where they got better than he felt he could do. he thinks they must be coming from “lucifer”. this could be a roots of imposter syndrome, feeling that his lyrics are inspired by something beyond him. i’m really inspired but also shocked at this revelation and I went to listen back to his discography and its clear and pretty much tracks the whole way through. a self hating relationship i feel like this is also why he asks the ghost tupac where he thinks his songs come from, to which tupac says “its your dead homies telling stories”. im really interested in where people think their lyrics come from

During the Nipsey verse he is switching from himself back to Nipsey, he is rapping from Kendrick and Nipsey on that verse. Also while rapping as Kendrick on the vid he says he “seen the pain in your pupil when that trigger had squeezed” which could literally mean the blind woman shooting him on DAMN as she has something wrong with her eyes causing her to go blind but it also works coming from Nipsey’s perspective, which I think is the idea of that song and the video. Great video btw
  • When you started I though it seems like a bit of a strerch but you've genuinely given me something to think about
  • standing ovation to you and this video vary observant i watched every second of this and as a kendrick fan this makes so much since thank you!

This was a really well made video!!! I haven't listened to any Kendrick Lamar but now I feel like I definitely should. I would love to see more of this type of content!
  • @person2200
Great analysis! Really enjoyed the video.

Remarkable analysis man!! Also I feel he is conveying his final message/album by broadcasting it on every MAJOR stage on the planet, to allow people to grasp this will be his last run & the circumference of his circle of life which is revelated <3
