Coldplay was my dads favorite band. He passed away unexpectedly from COVID last month, a week before this song was released. The last song he heard before leaving this earth was “Yellow”. My mom and I played it for him in his ICU room. My heart is so heavy hearing this song now. It’s beautiful.

A year ago my mom was in a psychiatric and I was home alone, it felt so horrible the thoughts of what could happen to both of us, I always turned on the radio so I felt less alone, and this song always come up, it was my companion during the nights I couldn’t sleep. This song makes you realize that whatever happens, it’s best to just let some things go, don’t stress or ponder on things you cannot control. Don’t let the war in your head win,you are only as strong as you let yourself be. Don’t let bad things that happen to you affect your future. Past is past and you must move on from that pain or it will only hold you under and eventually consume you until you are dead.
